Beer fasting

Beer fasting is it IST approved. I started doing it on an off recently since I drink a lot and don’t want to get fat. I feel better then I expected cutting out food for days at a time. Has anyone else done this

The beer back then was closer to modern bread than to modern beer.

    >I'm an alcoholic who would rather stop eating than put my drink down.

Enjoy your spiral into an early grave. It won't be pleasant.

I’ve accepted my decision for a awhile been drinking since I was 13 now 31 I can drink a lot more then the majority of my friends and I don’t get hangovers regularly unless i go really hard which is rare and even then they aren’t to bad. I think some people process alcohol better then others and suffer less negative effects which reenforces alcoholism as a good cope. I don’t get shit faced often just like to keep a good buzz going

I like to drink unfiltered wheats the best liquid bread usually hefeweizen . And I like American domestic to but I don’t like anything hoppy

Kek, imagine being a medieval monk and getting hammered drinking triple-strength beer on a empty stomach, all while knowing with 100% confidence that this was approved by God and the pope himself, and you would be going to heaven because of it

I also take a bunch of vitamins and herbs when I’m not eating food
    Fish oil
    NAC
    Zinc
    Vitamin d
    B complex
    Milk thistle
    Iron
    Calcium
    Magnesium
    Vitamin c

I don’t take all of them everyday but I pepper them in here and there

    I can't not eat if I'm drinking
Alcohol makes me hungry like nothing else

My cousin is the same way he calls it beer munchies but beer has never had this effect on me. I only get intense food cravings if I’m smoking weed

This is such a terrible idea. I've done this in the past on a big cut when I was 21, and sort of an off/on alcoholic. I thought I was a genius because I would fast all day, drink 6-10 beers (preferably stronger beers, around 6-8%) in the evening and fall asleep quick, thereby getting a deficit of 500-1000 calories without even getting hungry. Except I forgot the part where you need protein to preserve muscle on a cut. I ended up probably losing more muscle than fat on that cut like a fricking moron.

I’ve been fasting at most 2 days straight and afterwards I always have a very protein rich meal with a lot of fat. Cheese, eggs, steak, mayonnaise, butter and some veggies to. Sometimes on my fast I’ll also have a green smoothie with fruits and veggies in the morning

Ok, but look at your overall weekly calorie/protein deficits. Tbh, maybe 2 days on, with protein rich meals after could work on preserving that muscle. I just don't want to become an alcoholic again to try lol.

When I’m not fasting. I might have one meal either at lunch or dinner. Rich in protein and fat. When I’m not fasting at all I aim to drink less beer and I usually succeed and I eat meals rich in fat and protein of course. Love eggs love mayo love butter turkey chicken beer. I think as long as I don’t do it for more then 2 days ill be alright in not losing muscle
