Being lean is IMPOSSIBLE

>gain weight slowly
>look chubby, bit strong
>lose weight slowly
>look skinnyfat

I CANNOT. FRICKING. GET. LEAN. I slow cut for a YEAR and I ended up just slowly losing muscle until I looked skinnyfat. What is the trick? Genetics? My body just wants to hold onto fat in the worst fricking areas (breasts, face and lower stomach) and will not hold onto the hard to gain muscle. What do I do?

if you "lose muscle" on a cut, you're really losing intermuscular fat, meaning your diet is shit and your training is probably moronic as well.
eat more meat and learn how sprint, fatso

There's always a trick to it, you have to find out what works for you unfortunately.

I lost 110 lbs+ via some chinese medicine bullshit, I have no idea, man.

If you shit your brains out after every meal, you can't absorb anything but the most readily available nutrients (meat)

What’s your height and what’s the he heaviest weight you’ve been, and do you even lift weights, if so how long have you been lifting weights

You need to have been lifting for at least a few years and have gained 40-50lb before you can go on a cut and get lean

If you have just been lifting for 6 months and you’ve only weighed 150lb you have nothing to cut

Even for me as a manlet at 5’7 I bulked from 140 to 215 over like 8 years and I finally was able to cut and be lean at 155, mind you I was skinnyfat at 140 before lifting weights and it took me bulking to 215 over 8 years to then finally cut down to 155 and have a visible 6 pack

I was skinnyfat at 160lb, lifted and ate maintenence to 130. Have tried to bulk/cut cycle but I'm really thinking about just lean gaining and eating a bit over maintenence for a while

Jesus Christ you're moronic. I'm the same height, bulked from 130-160 then cut to 145 and had a 6pack and veins. You gained 60lbs of unnecessary fat.

You probably didn't gain enough muscle. Stop eating slop. Eat in a small surplus of 300-500cal daily. Eat a ton of protein (180-200g a day) and go to the fricking gym. You need to lift intensly.

Oh no you fell for the slow cut meme. You metabolism slows down so quickly that if you are on a -500 deficit you just stop losing weight after couple months.

Thats why rapid fat loss works. Who gives a frick if your TDEE goes down 500 kcals when you are on a -1500 deficit.

Hypothetically speaking, if fat loss were only occurring during no or low energy activity like walking, and not during jogging or running, wouldn't the optimal fat loss strategy be to do 3 days in a row of protein shakes and 16k steps per day?

Well I have basically done this for the last month and lost 8Kg. couple days of only whey, eggs, chicken and broccoli with 3-4 hours of incline walking at 120BPM and then wholebody training session with close to maintenance calories.

But the thing is that this is tough and people just want to do mental acrobatics so they can do their little -500 deficit.

Well, I just read an old book ("Entfettungscuren" from the 1840s) that prescribed mostly lean meats, a few toasted pieces iof bread and very few other foodstuffs with a 25k to 30k steps of walking every day for fat people and it seemed to have worked rather well. Which, I guess is the low tech approach to your theory.

I dunno man, the baby steps approach is MUCH harder imo. And really, every fat guy who wants to lsoe weight doesn't really want to hear "eat one sausage less and walk a bit", they are always like "RAAAWR I WILL EAT NOTHING FOR 5 YEARS AND RUN A MARATHON EVERY DAY WISH ME LUUUUCK".

Doing -2000kcal deficit is objectively harder than -500kcal, the issue is that those fatties who normally boast this shit don't adhere to it longer than week or two and have no understanding of nutrition to pull it through.

But yeah -500kcal is harder in a way because of course it takes a long long time and I personally have no interest in dieting longer than 3 months top. Rapid fat loss is also more rewarding because weight on scale go brrr.

How long did it take you to lose that much weight? You cant speedrun cutting and at the same time expect to keep muscle unless you are a roidtroony

About 5-6 months. I did want to speed run it. 🙁
I at least want to start out from vascular lower abs and slow bulk from there.
I hate starting out skinnyfat and hating how you look all the time.

I do ab wheel and pullup accessories at the end of workouts. I may just unfortunate insertions and the lower abs never pop.

Meme wheel is dogshit. If you want lower abs do hanging leg raises. Windshield wipers. Leg raises

Ab wheel is nothing more than a glorified plank

you ain't gonna be building 1lb of lean mass after the first 6 months of lifting unless you're a recovering anorexic bed ridden skeleton
