Lat pulldown, t-bar row, straight arm cable pulldown, pull-ups, it's really personal choice. Some people will insist on traditional BB rows but I personally don't like them. Find what works for you and what you feel best. Just remember to do both vertical and horizontal movements

Best lifts for lats? I wanna look like a fricking flying squirrel.
Stfu moronic Black person monkey show my one bodybuilder that only does weighted pull ups. It's a good exercise but you need more. Little spasticated moron
OP asked for the best lift for lats, not a laundry list from your fluff and pump pussy workout you luddite gorilla Black person monkey moron homosexual
He said he wants to LOOK like a flying squirrel ie he wants big lat muscles (this is also what bodybuilders do). He never said anything about strength. I know you have a moronic Black person reading level of a downie 3 year old but you have to understand that

That wasn't me, you can do other exercises, they're just not the best for lats, unlike pullups, which are.

See my original post I literally said >Lat pulldown, t-bar row, straight arm cable pulldown, pull-ups, it's really personal choice.
Yes pull-ups are important but not the only exercise

It's not a personal choice what the best lat exercise is, pullups are superior to all others. You can't just decide that one is better, it is an objective truth.

BB Row 205 for 5 reps

205 is weak for bb rows, I’m 6’ and when I was 170lbs I could row 255 for sets of 5, and even still I can row more weight than you and I’m skinny as frick at 155 right now cause I’m a poor college student who can barely afford food lmao. Your back is weak dude.

If you're not estatting, that's top 7% strength, which is insanely strong, mine is like top 1/3rd

I have the best back on this board probably. Best exercises are rows pullups and deadlifts/rack pulls. Use various grips and angles to fully develop ur back. You probably have the most options for ways to hit back its all about the mind muscle contraction

It doesn’t seem that strong to me, I can still do 225 for reps at my current weight

What are you basing your assumption on

What I’ve seen others in the gym do, at the school gym it isn’t uncommon to see football players and other athletes rowing 225, they tend to be good comparisons since they are people who actually train seriously and arent gayboys who do meme shit

watch their form, it is one of the most commonly cheated exercises

Well yeah if you're comparing yourself to athletes it makes sense why you would think a non-athlete (me) is weak. But statistically I'm stronger than 2/3rds of men in the gym at rows and I don't cheat them either.

Why wouldn’t you compare yourself to an athlete? I don’t particularly care how strong gays are who don’t properly train. Most normalgays don’t ever achieve anything great in their life. I don’t pat myself on the back for being able to run a mile cause the majority of Americans can’t even walk a mile. Why would you compare yourself to failures if you want to be successful?

I definitely do look up to people that are better than me, I was just referring to the statistics to get a sense of where I am at in terms of averages.

Pullover machine, forgotten technology from a lost age. Absolutely sickening stretch that can only somewhat be approximated with the lat prayer style of straight arm pulldown. Shame they've all but disappeared; but they're friggin huge and can hurt you if you have bad shoulder mobility, so I get why gyms have phased them out.
for me lat pulldowns with a wide grip, don't neglect rows for the upper back though
wrong.
pullups. weighted. everything else if gay.
Frick off moron
how can I be wrong when it works for me?
Progressive overload on pullups

I'm the one calling you a moronic Black person monkey. Bulking so no definition, still wider
That is the dirtiest Black person mirror I have ever seen
You should see mine.
No time to clean my mirror, busy doing other lat exercises than just pullups which is why I mog
>Those are the people telling you not to do [insert exercise name]
AHAHAHAHAHAAAA

Pull ups all grip variations, muscle ups, power cleans. Every other answer is cope
>power cleans for lats
ISHYGDDT
>has a small back
See this post
>confirmed small back
Same question as op, but I only have dumbbells and a bench in my garage.
Pull ups and row your bench
I have the best back on this board probably. Best exercises are rows pullups and deadlifts/rack pulls. Use various grips and angles to fully develop ur back. You probably have the most options for ways to hit back its all about the mind muscle contraction
Mirin if really you. Any particular row you like? I'm a fan of tbar
Lol that is me at my first bodybuilding show I didnt even place ngl. I really like t bar, and seated cable rows. And hammer strength back machines

if you can do front levers, do them. otherwise you have to add weight to pullups
Pull-ups. Wide grip palms forward. Don’t neglect the rest of your back though.
