Honestly, just change up the position you sleep in frequently, same with sitting, change how you sit frequently, no single position is "better" or "worse" for you.

You should sleep exclusively on your back for skin care.
It keeps gravity pulling your face back thus reducing wrinkles and is necessary for youth maxing.

I can't sleep facing up because i know i'm gonna get those nightmares

shit happens to me as well. what worked for me is to just buy a sleeping mask, it not only protects you from the demons but blocks any light so you can sleep great. i got a comfy one from Flying Tiger.

sometimes i'm so sleepy that i fall asleep facing up without my sleeping mask on and then i get woken up by the demons banging the door.

Sleeping mask makes you trip nuts and forget it like normal dreaming instead of memorable sleep paralysis demons. This post is truth.

Apparently you are also more likely to have nightmares if your head is facing north.
I sleep on my back 3/4 times or on my side.
Fun side note My shoulders and neck have been stiff/sore for nearly two months. Idk if its the kind of pillow I am using or what but this shit is driving me insane. And my neck cracks so loud it makes my gf go "jesus christ"

Sleep paralysis is a must to get lucid dreams for me so I'm hyped as frick when it happens. They usually happen right after flashy jumpscares in my dreams (right before they turn into nightmares).
Can't even remember my sleep paralysis, shit's gone in 10 seconds MAX and I'm now able to get cool lucid dreams for the rest of the night and dodge nightmares like a boss.

        Anonymous

Very nice. I've been reading about lucid dreams recently, how have your experiences been? Any tips on achieving them?

I've been waking up and hour before I normally do, reading about dreams for 30 minutes, then going back to sleep. As well as keeping a journal.

I wish. I want to sleep on my back since I know that it's objectively better, but I can't. My back always ends up feeling terrible after a few minutes and I have to change position. So I end up sleeping on my sides and wake up with neck pain.

that's really bad dude... especially long term. eesh.

I'd go to some sort of specialist too tbh. It doesn't sound normal that your back hurts just from sleeping up.

        >that's really bad dude... especially long term. eesh.
Yes, I think that it's causing me sinus and ear issues.

        >I'd go to some sort of specialist too tbh. It doesn't sound normal that your back hurts just from sleeping up.
It's not that it hurts. It's difficult to explain, but it's like a feeling of discomfort without pain. I just feel like I need to change position. The same thing happens when I sit down on a chair, it's impossible to stay straight on my ass for long.

you need to get used to back sleeping
it's uncomfortable at first, just want to roll over onto stomach or side, but what helped for me was a sleeping mask. it kept my eyes closed and i could just fall asleep.

            Anonymous

Well, I'm trying to get used to it, but it's so difficult. I've tried the sleeping mask before and I didn't really like it. I'm too sensitive to touch and I couldn't get used to the feeling of it on my ears and face.

I don't see the point. I've been like that literally my entire life. I don't have any pain anywhere except on the back of my neck, and even then it's pretty minor. I think that it's more of a neurological issue than a physical one. Someone a few years ago told me that this happens because I'm bisexual, which according to them is also the reason why I can't drive.

      Ngmi, including me

god told me sleeping on your right side was the correct way to sleep. there is a lot of technical stuff happening in your body when you lay down because of gravity and the way your intestines are organized in your body. i think you'll find that sleeping on your left side actually produces more discomfort than on your right side. sleeping on your stomach is actually suicide tier and can cause cardiac arrest. sleeping on your back isn't great either.

is actually right not only that but you are also decreasing blood flow to your penis because it needs room to be free and have erections

Backsleeping is the best because it stops you from getting sleep wrinkles, however you will mosty likely need to change pillows to a very thin pillow, or go with no pillow like I do, instead using a rolled up towel under the neck. A normal pillow will frick your neck up. Ive been doing this for 6 months and get way less wrinkles in the morning now (specifically around the eyes)

i started floor sleeping, small foam yoga pad, pillow, concrete floor with tile. First few weeks, shoulder or hip pain from the tough surface, but after a few weeks spinal pain and back pain fading. months later back pain gone. i cant sleep on beds anymore or soft surfaces, and i am excited to stretch out and sleep on a good solid floor. when i camp outside i wake up like i belong out there. i wish i started solid floor sleeping years ago.

Any tips for sleeping on my back? I've been trying to retrain my body to fall asleep on my back for months now with no success. I'm a side sleeper, but my arms always end up going numb and waking me up. Please help, I can't remember the last time got a full night's sleep.

Have you tried a good sleep mask? The weight of it on your face and the total blocking of light is supposed to make it much easier to fall asleep on your back with the added bonus of avoiding night terrors.
I haven't tried it myself but I've got one on order so I'll soon find out if it works. Been trying on and off to backsleep without it and while it's actually very comfortable to lie like that, I just don't drop off. I could lie there for hours.

Does your spine hurt from fetal position? Or is that just something your read? Mine feels fine and unless you have really wide hip bones there shouldn't be much pressure on the back (women often have problems with side sleeping because of their wider hips)
