Bonglads, where are you buying your protein from?
Just bought 5kg from Myprotein and got stung for over £90.
Looked back in my order history and a few years ago it was only £42.
The £90 was WITH a 45% discount.
I can't help but feel like that kind of price increase is a bit beyond 3 years of inflation, and that Myprotein is just ripping me off.
Any cheaper high-quality alternatives?

unrelated but i recently tried myprotein and after years of consuming gold whey double rich chocolate there is no way in hell im going back to that shit tasting whey
myprotein is a fricking delicacy in comparison
Myprotein was fricking gross, I never liked it. Suspiciously cheap and now they are ripping chumps off.
I just go to Holland and Barrett and get those gold standard tubs
But then again, I am a DYEL homosexual so don't listen to me
Doubt you'll get cheaper given the scale they operate at
bros, how many eggs equal 1 scoop of ON whey protein? shit is getting too expensive and I need to replace it with something
Probably about 3.
a large egg is 6g of protein, 4 eggs would give you 24 grams which is the exact number as an optimum nutrition scoop
2 eggs, and a half a cup of egg whites
Zero fat greek yoghurt/quark is the cheapest protein source over here at 1,40eu for a tub of 1kg, containing 90 grams of protein.
Based yoghurt homie, I'm a 2% strained man myself. 20g of protein per 200g and 200cals
I got 5kg of some generic shit from bodybuilders warehouse online for £35. The content seems alright and tastes good so I'll likely be back.
Pre-coof, I used to take advantage of the Holland and Barratt BOGOF on whey, which meant I was paying about ~£15/kg. This year, whey from Decathlon at about £22/kg, no special offers.
Based 'thlon
Amazon are selling 1 kg for £27. We need a new company to sell good shit- £50 for a 5 kg
>whey
homie just drink some eggs. add milk if necessary
I go on Amazon and sort by lowest price and look for unflavoured. I never notice a difference between whey brands. Amazons own brand thing sucks though.
I have a close friend who works in the industry. Prices for whey produced from China are way up due to various corona related restrictions inside the country, those rose so much that they are about the same price as sourcing whey from the US/UK now (although they still produce it on a larger scale). Myprotein prices for onions protein haven’t raised much, as the raw material price hasn’t really raised either. Everywhere you will try to get whey from right now will be heavily inflated due to China cutting supply.
Onions protein? I didn't think onions contained that much protein, how do they extract it?
lmao
Kek just in the off chance you're not joking, IST changes the word s o y into onions.
LOL!
This right here.
Bodybuilding Depot in Germany is extremely open about their pricing policy and this is their purchasing price curve since last feb. for isolate.
EU import restrictions are then taking their toll as well.
Shit is nuts.
That being said, I'll gladly shill for bodybuilding depot for German fitizens. Independent lab tests are published, andre is very open about their pricing and they sell 20kg sacks if you ever want to buy bulk.
What about pea and onions proteins, are they any good?
This nutri sport stuff is still £45 to £50 for 5kg.
It tastes bad. But it's tolerable.
I just bought the All-Blacks(tm) stuff from amazon. It was like 30quid for 800g and tastes pretty good.
How does that taste with water? My current bag is almost done, and looking to get something that doesn't make me want to puke.
I'm usually fussy but I can drink the banana with water, tastes quite nice imo.
I tried to go with myprotein competitors also mate because of the prices but it's just not worth it. Nothing mixes as well or tastes as nice as myprotein.
I ordered bulk from Amazon and the creatine they sent was half the size of what I paid for, and both the chocolate & vanilla 1kg bags were rancid, literally rotten. It could be because I ordered them from amazon and maybe Bulk as a brand is usually okay but I'm not risking it again. The only thing of the 5 items I ordered that was fine was the protein pancake mix.
try casein?
That seems like it would be better than whey tbh. Why don't more people buy caesin instead??
idk Ive tried both and couldnt tell the difference
they both come from milk
I think whey has better aminoacid profile but casein has more minerals like calcium and stuff
Do you guys not have some equivilent to Walmart where you can buy shit products for dirt cheap? Also i'm going to be spending most of July there so any useful information about your country would be appreciated.
i live in aberdeen and a dozen 'british' eggs costs less than a dozen scot eggs it's absolutely moronic
15 Lidl battery eggs are 99p, who cares where the eggs come from.
