As someone who spent 4 years unhealthily obsessing over cognitive, physical and sexual improvement via supplementation, I can with 100% certainty say 99% of supplements as bullshit. I easily tried every thing on the market and spent thousands and nothing works. No CDP Choline, Lions Mane or Gingko will noticably improve your cognitive function, memory or intelligence. No amount of creatine, Tongkat or Turkesterone will boost your test and libido. Everything is a fricking scam.

this, it's like saying "what should I eat for muscle gain but I wont workout tho "

just workout your brain, learn some poems, musics by heart, read, think, write, practice new things

The smartest people that walked on earth didnt bother themselves with supplements, they just worked and practised and torture their brain

I'm getting my Masters in 2 years, been doing everything in that time to give myself an edge psychologically and intellectually. On top of that I've actively been doing every single most obscure and niche self improvement 'hack' possible. From incline bed therapy, icing my balls, every single diet imaginiable...

Completely agree. I spent my whole life in undergrad trying to hyper-optimize shit for better mental/physical performance, and I can say the only shit that helped was the obvious stuff. Imo, the best way to optimize mental performance is to keep stress relatively low, solve cognitively-demanding problems regularly, sleep enough, and don’t eat total garbage all the time. The effects of doing the basic shit right will be 100x more noticeable than any supplement you try.

No it's not lol. It frees test. If you have shitty low test it might not do anything, but I certainly notice the difference.

Agree. Everyone should get some sunlight, touch grass, and eat a balanced diet without processed food.

      None of them.

This. I would hit the character limit listing everything I've tried and it's all junk. Well actually there's a couple things that work. Digestive enzymes or just bomeline (eliminates protein farts) and prohormones which are legal to purchase but banned in some sports and are pretty safe to use because you're not directly fricking with your testosterone causing brain damage and estrogen overdose like with trt.

Sheeeeesh prohormones (is that even what I’m looking at? Recs please) are expensive

          Anonymous

I mean more like taking pregnenolone, dhea and progesterone. The term "prohormone" itself will just lead you to scam "test booster" shit. This stuff isn't going to give you performance level increases in testosterone. It's the precursors.

This, do not fall for the supplements meme. There are three supplements that do anything:

      Protein powder
      Pre workout
      Creatine

Everything else is complete waste of money.

This. Meditation will cure your ADHD for life, particularly types of meditation that focus on concentration and mindfulness. That said, it's really time-consuming and difficult, and probably like 99% of laypeople that try it end up giving up or losing interest because of slow results.
Easier to implement, but less effective, solutions are to start recording how you spend your time to make you more conscientious of what you're doing, and developing the "habit" of being aware of what you tend to be distracted by and then actively limiting it. For example, if you're regularly distracted by IST, make it a habit to actively pay attention to how much you browse it.

I usually take a vitamin and omega-3 pill before bed, but i can recommend after you wake up, too. Also, if you make sure to eat fish at least 3 times a week, it probably won't make much of a difference, but it'll probably help either way.

There's no supplement that can do 10% as much as a stack of regular cardio, good diet, hi-quality sleep and active stress management. If you don't have an ironclad and incorruptible routine including all those, then I recommend directing your attention towards that routine, because you'll reap greater rewards in terms of brain boost.

If you already got all that down I don't think you would have made this post tbh. But to answer your question: I like the effects of tribulus, although mechanism of action is not understood. Ginseng, green tea, turmeric, XRmelatonin, noopept and l-theanine also have some utility for me in certain situations-- I don't know what behaviors you want to alter in what ways, so I can't make specific recommendations.

That said, my brain and body have never felt more potent than when I'm sleeping well and my diet includes eggs, and oysters among other fatty fish. Maybe liver too but it's less convenient to incorporate into my diet.

Also if you want to effectively/permanently improve yourself maybe specify your intentions. So don't "try to make your brain better". Instead, "try to improve your speed and comprehension when reading academic text, because an improvement there will directly improve the efficiency of your studying". Or whatever your situation is. Doing so will help you determine what's actually going to help you the most. Good luck

Idk about brain supplements but Crio Bru or 100% organic ground cocoa bean has been amazing for me. Its pure real chocolate. The Aztecs called it the drink of the gods. It has a cardiac stimulant called theobromine. Its not neural at all but your heart will definitely race. The thing I noticed was its a great aphrodisiac. Stronger erections and more sensitive to the touch. I would have 24 oz made sitting on a glass near my bed and drink it all through intercourse with my ex it was insane. We'd go to pound town for a couple hours with small breaks in between where I'd flip her into another position and grab a quick drink kek I added honey as well for more energy too. I'd drink coffee ahead of time as well for the stimulant boost and THC concentrates because they allowed me to hold my orgasm incredibly well

    That is the real stack

    -THC concentrates for orgasm retention
    -Caffeine/Theobromine for heart/brain stimulant

Also ground tumeric actually does give tons of benefits. I put half a tablespoon in my water as I bring it to boil for coffee and it leeches the benefits into the water. I always notice massive flexibility improvements on my joints and knees especially. I use it daily and notice if I miss 2 days in a row. I also ground pepper when I grind my coffee beans because it increases tumeric absorption by 2000%. Unreal how much it helps my joints both stiffness and discomfort sometimes felt
