Caffeine is an essential nutrient that most people are deficient in, but how much is too much? How much do you get? Dr Ray Peat (pbuh) said he would consume as much as 2 grams of caffeine per day, 30-50 cups of coffee.

        Yes. Plants that produce caffeine tend to be at lower latitudes as it is a defense mechanism against pests that thrive in tropical and subtropical climates. Higher latitudes lack virtually natural sources of caffeine, yet people have existed for tens of thousands of years in these colder climates without any noticeable detriment. Wide availability of caffeine is a recent development over the last few hundred years, nowhere near long enough to have any major evolutionary implications. The fact that people have thrived without access to caffeine means it is, by definition, not essential.

    Caffeine isn't essential, and the stimulating effect isn't noticeable anymore after a few weeks of prolonged consumption. What does happen though, you feel tired and without motivation when not having your caffeine fix.
    It is best to totally refrain from caffeine consumption. However, i'm no saint either. I drink 2 cans of 250ml sugarfree energy drinks every day, on the weekends up to 4. I'm actually more nervous when i didn't take caffeine. I'm probably severly addicted already.

    Does anyone else that bought Ray Peat's progest-e and has been taking it for awhile absolutely gag when they taste it? I loved the taste at first but over 3 months or so, I can't stand the smell or taste of it, I want to barf. Serious question, because this progesterone makes me feel amazing and fixed a lot of my problems but holy shit I get nauseated at the smell and taste. Should I email kenogen to request they make it in capsules??

          pretty much all toxins can in a very specific scenario, be a cure for a peculiar condition.

    I haven't drank caffeine in 2 months.
    It improved my sleep tremendously.
    Literally tried to fix my sleep schedule for 5 years and it was always fucked.
    It was the coffee fucking me up.
