thanks for the warning I will as well

>BROOOOOO WERE LITERALLY SPIDERSSSS LMAOOOOO
Cringe
Your CBF is so low, you ignored the link the the research and focused on an irrelevant picture with spiders! Coffee bros, were doomed!
>moron op intentionally posts picture
>nooo you can't just look at it criticize me for my obvious moronation
Let's face it you're mentally challenged and it shows.
The spider test doesn't specify any specific caffeine dose and is irrelevant for humans due to differences in metabolization.
As for the CBF, it entirely ignores that caffeine as an adenosin antagonist leads to an increase of adenosin receptors.
And more receptors lead to an increase in blood flow.
tl;dr you're a tard.
>insecticide has a bad effect on spiders
whoa
spiders are not insects
they are arachnids
he didn't say spiders are insects tho
insecticide also works on centipedes
I literally warned you
All of them look like normal spiderwebs to me
are you a fricking spider?
Dark chocolate is a vasodilator and counters the vasoconstriction from caffine
>vasoconstriction from caffine
Caffeine is a vasodilator
Don't have that, will raw cocoa powder do?
You can literally go in the similar articles tab on that page and see those results were either never reproduced or contradicted by other experiments.
False
True.
Literally you are lying
>LSD literally finer and neater work than normal
If you honestly believe that image is real you must be moronic
How exactly would you give LSD to a spider? And how would it have the same effect it does on humans?
You really can't imagine how a scientist could give LSD to a spider? Frightening
>how would you give LSD to a spider
Hihihi
>How exactly would you give LSD to a spider
You gotta know a guy who knows a guy and buddy, do I know a guy.
>How exactly would you give LSD to a spider?
They attempted to weaponize LSD as an aerosol so it's definitely possible to dose any oxygen breathing creature with it. Look up the military experiments.
No, they gave it little tabs of blue micro dot and put on the windows screen savers for it to watch.
When you take enough LSD, you become one with the spider
All the webs in my house look like the Caffeine pic. No I will not clean up.
Just do these (wall assisted handstands for time) every time you get an urge to drink coffee instead.
The bloodflow to the head is an amazing rush.
>hey anon, why don't you join us here for a coffee teeheee ;^)
>sure ladies, however I do not consume caffeine, for the results of a study NASA did on spiders some frickwhile ago confirmed without a doubt that it reduces cerebral blood flow.
anon confidently walks over to the wall for a good old refreshing handstand
Amazing
It's not that simple. Always check the race of the person making the study. If it's a israelite, then of course it's false. If it's a white, then it's indeterminate (they could be an oversocialized slave or just normal). If it's an Asian, then it's 70% likely to be true.
>If it's an Asian, then it's 70% likely to be true.
The chang agitator reveals himself.
You're too wienery bro, you're not even more academic as a species. That was a israeli study.
What if they are black?
You already know the answer.
It's fact.

How do I quit this shit? I've have tried and relapsed serveral times before.
I will always follow this pattern
>quit caffeine
>day 1-2: terrible headache
>day 2-4: extreme anxiety and depressed as frick
> day 5-???: zero motivation
Then in week two or three I will resort again to caffeine. And the moment I drink some coffee my motivation is back.
Touch grass more.
Just drink green tea. It's not quitting caffeine but significantly reducing intake. The L Theanine in green tea will counteract the jittery effect of the low caffeine content (30 mg vs 90 mg in coffee). You'll feel much clearer.
i like most of the stuff on the womens side. this list is shit

what the frick is nexstand?
It's something describing (you)
It's something measured in feet and inches.
It's related to your vertical diameter.
It's the same even if you're standing or handstanding.
Maybe it takes more than 2 or 3 weeks for you to reach baseline. Taper slowly if you can't just bite the bullet, and do it disciplined and planned out like exercise so you can't frick it up. I.e. 2 cups of coffee or less each day for a week or 2, 1 cup or less each day for a week or 2, half cup coffee or 1 cup green tea each day for a week or 2. That can be a 6 week taper if you really need it to be. Don't bullshit yourself about a 24 oz from Starbucks being one cup of coffee also. Standard 8-12 oz serving. Carry around a travel mug and have them put coffee in it like an absolute autist if you really need to. Being an absolute autist about tapering my consumer is how I'm still 5 years free from smoking.

What the actual fricking moron inversion shit am i reading?
Only one of those acts as a poison to the spider
Ok but first off what does nasa have to do with drugs? I don't see the FDA or whatever sending out satellites and stuff. Secondly, what does a random spiders reaction to X have to do with humans? Like at least make a comparison to chimps or mice idk. And lastly where are all the beautiful Choco Bundas? I literally only opened this thread to see some beautiful ebony woman not for a discussion about coffee.
>Low (mean = 45 mg/day), moderate (mean = 405 mg/day), and high (mean = 950 mg/day)
>Our results suggest a limited ability of the cerebrovascular adenosine system to compensate for high amounts of daily caffeine use.
>high (mean = 950 mg/day)
that is literally 6 cans of monster per day avg common bruh
A coffee can be 220mg, depending on the brew. So only ~4 to get in the high range. (Which is not that uncommon in an office)
Look at the brian scans and you'll see that the effects are significant even at 250 mg
I don't care about spiders, nor do I care about soience
How to convince a spider to take drugs?
Peer pressure
currently 3:09 am. just downed two full scoops of gorilla mode.
leg day in 30 minutes.
Wow who fricking cares

Nothing personal, kiddo

Checked and when people say cups, do they mean the measurement? They must. I always get thrown off because a good mug is always 1 or 2 cups. BRB, fixing a coffee

There, you have been debunked. And even if it were true, reduced cerebral blood flow gives you dementia so have fun with that grandpa.

180mg x 7 + coffee during breaks and also pills on occasion. Guy was in his early 20s and looked normal. Probably dead now tho
That's the work world for ya. Neets will never understand. I'm not a complete junky so I can limit my caffeine intake but some dudes just can't do without it and are downing those things constantly. I work at a hospital and don't use those anymore. But when I did warehouse work, I was downing 2 per shift.
This might be the secret to why this guy looks so young. He never consumes caffeine.
What the hell do I care about longevity? This world sucks and I have to use what I can to get ahead. I take coffee, nicotine gums and modafinil everyday m
>so you see here, the spider made a bad web once so caffine is worse than cocaine
Caffeine is incredibly harmful to insects and arachnids. It's a literal insecticide. All the more reason for humans to consume it.
Caffeine is a drug that every single serious competitive endurance athlete uses for many decades now. It would have been banned by now if any of this were true in humans.
SPIDER BROSSS NOOOO
Phew. Glad I'm not a spider
its pretty bad
once i took 3 grams, i vomited, shitted, passed out and slept less than 2 hours before waking up and vomiting again
i felt terrible for about 30 hours.
>takes caffeine equivalent of 47 cups of espresso
>bros somehow I felt awful and had to vomit all the time
That is entirely on you and shows how hard it is to actually poison yours with coffee.
It's like you going:
>bros I just ate half a pound of salt and I don't feel so good
>I've been getting thirsty and have cramps
I mean what did you expect from 3g caffeine?
>3mg caffeine
>more than half the lethal dosage
>felt pretty bad
Checks out
>be me, see a 3x2 offer on all types of monster
>today is chest day so I buy myself 3 white monsters
>get home, decide I should drink all of them since I got no space in my fridge
>drink them as fast as I can while walking to the gym
>after 30 mins I feel nothing
>start warming up
>after 1 hour I still feel nothing
>finish my workout with 0 effect from the 450mg of caffeine I just took
Is it bros? Should I stop taking caffeine for a while? I usually don't take this much, I usually only drink two espressos or one monster.
Anon, I hate to tell you this, but they sold you water in a Monster can
mfw the glowies replace my white monster with water and my pills
How did you even consume 3 entire grams of caffeine? That's like thirty red bulls in an hour.
Not him but I have powdered caffeine which is stupidly easy to OD on.
Yeah you're not a spider though mate, are you?
Merideth Alice Addicott
there's are always as many studies saying x thing is bad than there are saying x thing is good
nutritional and life style science is as a corrupt as a rural Nigerian licensing bureau and you regularly get colleges and research firms publishing non-peer-reviewed studies coming to whatever fricking conclusion they want for the sole purpose of clout and grant money, often from benefactors with a vested interest in a specific 'fact' being elucidated. more outrageous conclusions bring more clout, pay-to-publish journals don't give a shit about validity as long as they're getting paid, and the fact that it takes more time and energy to debunk bullshit rather than create it means that the pro-bullshit faction will never cease what they're doing and can always overwhelm the skeptic 'hey, let's check into things here before making any big calls' faction through sheer volume. this goes for onions, nofap, coffee, whatever superfood is popular this month, and so on.
by the way, did you know that dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) can be fatal if taken in large enough dosages? you may not know it, but you consume large amounts of it every day. you better make some dietary changes, goy- I mean pal.
how fast do you get caffein tolerance?
I never drink coffee, only green tea so I probably dont have a very high tolerance
last week I took a 200mg caffein pill as a pre workout for the first time and it hit really fricking hard, I had almost too much energy
but when I took another pill two days later it had no noticeable effect, today I took another one and again nothing happened
was it placebo or did I get tolerance after just one pill?
Maybe your dopamine etc. was just drained. But yeah, caffeine builds up a tolerance really fast. Something like 100mg for one week or 400mg or 3 days and you will have some slight withdrawl symptoms.
Extremely quickly. I tend to use caffeine until the 400mg a day limit doesn't do anything for me. Then I cleanse for 2-8 weeks and start using caffeine again. I am usually back to baseline (feeling something with usage, but not super energetic anymore) within 2 days of resuming caffeine usage, especially if I'm utilizing energy drinks and not just diet sodas or teas.
Serious question. Does caffeine just destroys you sleep or is it a meme? I drink 6 shots of espresso and the last is around 6pm. I sleep at 2 am but it’s been two days that I’m not sleeping properly. I literally went for a leg day with 4 hours of sleep. Every night I’m saying to myself that I should quit coffee but the next morning I’m at Starbucks.
Oh also is video gaming at night makes you tense?
Yes. It does
I've read that caffeine has a half-life of about 8 hours, so you can probably think of it as drinking half an espresso at 10pm. I'd recommend not drinking more after 4pm or 2pm even. Caffeine majorly fricks with your sleep, I experienced it firsthand for years as a kid and had no idea about it. Unfortunately found out way too fricking late. Note that there's loads of caffeine in regular drinks like tea or coke.
Also caffeine is addictive, as in, you'll have withdrawals if you stop using it. If you're a fairly heavy user as you describe I would recommend drinking less over time rather than quitting cold turkey, it can actually frick you up.
Not necessarily but it can.
Half time and turn total elimination time if caffeine can vary wildly between people and increase depending on liver function, medication, dosage etc.
If you're really unlucky it could take you over 12 hours until no caffeine is in your system.
Although of course low concentrations have negligible effects.
Like
mentioned it you probably shouldn't drink any that late.
As for the withdrawal symptoms, if I quit after drinking a lot it's similar to a 4 day influenza.
Headaches, tiredness, joint pain, muscle ache and sensitivity to light tend to happen if going cold turkey.
It doesn't matter, unless you can prove it doesn't stay in your system long. It's best to either only have it in the morning, or better, have none at all.
It also slows wound healing, causes anxiety, and accelerates digestion (malabsorption)
you already know all the problems and solutions you're just waiting to be miserable enough to act on your knowledge
Don't care, I am not a spider.
Don't do drugs kids. Any drugs.

study doesn't say much beyond that all caffeine users appear to have reduced CBF compared to non-users, as to how this translates to real outcomes (taking into account their confounding factors for failure to control for prior or recent use), there's nothing to conclude or discuss at a result of the data.
studies are only as good as the endpoints collected, and in this case, it doesn't tell you much because people aren't dropping dead from drinking coffee and many of the productive class are caffeine addicts, which doesn't follow the logic of this reduction in CBF resulting in impairment.
unfortunately the discussion section doesn't touch any of the theoretical basis for why the frick this matters besides CBF lower = bad, probably because they have no valuable theoretical basis to put forward, which heavily devalues the study overall.
104 replies, and no one noticed that the picture is fake or remembered the source of the picture. So many newbies.
It's not like the april 1995 NASA tech brite doesn't include something like it.
This picture is bullshit. Some spiders have caffeine intolerance, and not all of us react to it in that same way.
I used to drink 5 cups of coffee a day for years and drink energy drinks every now and then. Now all I drink is 1 cup of coffee on the morning sometimes one more in the afternoon and the only energy drink I found that works is c4 or pre work out.
>Evidence from receptor binding, physiology, and behavioral studies suggest an adaptation to the effects of caffeine following chronic intake. This adaptation presumably accounts for the development of tolerance to the vasoconstrictive and neurostimulant effects of caffeine. Some evidence exists for the sensitization (e.g. conversion to high affinity state) of adenosine receptors following chronic caffeine use [Green and Stiles,1986], whereas receptor binding studies suggest that the majority of this adaptation is due to receptor upregulation (e.g. increase in receptor number)
Why are you not cycling caffeine to boost your adenosine receptors?
>Reduced cerebral blood flow is a key factor in cognitive decline
Good, I want to be unconscious.
it's not permanent, it's temporary. also caffeine addicts become desensitized to the effects of caffeine, they actually experience the opposite problem when trying to quit because their blood vessels dilate too much causing headaches
cerebral blood flow is a key factor in cognitive decline
But we don't know if cerebral blood flow is reduced because of cognitive decline, or if it causes cognitive decline.
