Can an adrenaline dump drain your energy even hours/days after?

Yesterday a homeless man tried mugging me with a knife,I ran to a chair nearby and rammed him to the ground,as he tried to get back up I beat his face bloody till he stopped moving then I ran for it and didnt stop till I reached home. This evening while doing my usual boxing routine every movement felt sluggish and tiresome,I noticed I could move just as fast as I normally could but my muscles got drained very quickly, but not my cardiovascular system, but when lifting earlier in the day I had no such problems, only when trying to perform anything involving speed. Has anyone had something similar happen to them after some kind of life threatening event?

no,as a matter of fact I thought about killing him but didnt since it wasnt necessary. the saliva in my mouth tasted like silver coins and my skin felt like some sort of liquid electricity was washing over it immediately after,I had a great night's sleep and felt great about being able to handle myself,in the moment all the combinations I practiced didnt happen though,I just punched him with my right hand again and again till he stopped moving, dont think he's dead but he definitely needs a hospital.

Interesting I am in Canada and our bus benches are bolted to the concrete. The only time I could picture a chair available would be at an outdoors patio in front of a restaurant.
I hope that junkie learned a lesson.

yeah they do look similar to those,I have to admit I was scared as shit though, there's something about the thought of getting stabbed that doesnt sit right with me,all I was focused on after running into him in the chair was killing/disabling him as fast as possibl, nothing else mattered to me then except for holding this homosexual in place and making sure he cant stab me.

fricking good for you, this is exactly how to treat someone who threatens you with a knife. Frick them, feel no remorse, they earned their fate.

funnily enough,I had my own knife as well but forgot all about it once shit hit the fan, probably all the better for it because most of the time, nobody wins a knife fight.

adrenaline is pretty rough on your body and can affect you for a full week or longer. It is important to do a lot of cardio to recover faster.

You do know cardio lowers cortisol right? You only get a cortisol spike while you are doing it, but afterwards your cortisol levels are much lower. I have PTSD and have to manage my cortisol constantly or I end up going psychotic.

yeah - u said it bot:

          >You get a cortisol spike while you are doing it
and that means one should DO CARDIO to calm down from adrenaline spike according to you bot:

adrenaline is pretty rough on your body and can affect you for a full week or longer. It is important to do a lot of cardio to recover faster.

          >It is important to do a lot of cardio to recover faster

          >he ment if u do a lot of cardio u're healthy enough to endure adrenaline spikes better
then why bot didn't say it that way? why say it so it's ambiguous?

bottot how did this happen ?

          >It is important to do a lot of cardio to recover faster.

Yes, it's normal. When you get older and have more such experiences, it gets better over time.

And yes, your training often "doesn't come out" in situations like this. I had the same xp with boxing. A fight is not a match, it's very different.

Yes, it's normal if you aren't accustomed to fighting. Your CNS is fried from the uncommon stimulus. Take a week off and see if you'll feel better.

yes especially when the uncommon stimulus is a homeless druggy with a knife

In a situation like that your body is getting prepared to fight for it's life, your heart rate temporarily increases giving your muscles an increased blood supply on the spot, your nerves start sending signals at a much faster rate than usual along with a variety of various chemical changes, which would put a massive drain on your body immediately after the event. Your body was preparing to fight for it's life, and used everything it had to do so.
