I just started my weight loss journey and this is actually something I was wondering about too. Would I be able to have a peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread for a meal some days? What seems to be the general consensus about peanut butter? I fricking love it but I don't know if I'd be fricking myself up in the long run by keeping it in my diet.

Both are suboptimal, but you're not at a point to be optimizing so it doesn't matter
Don't overthink anything, stay active, and never give up, this is for life

thats not a meal. there are no nutrients. no animal proteins. just toxic legumes and plant oils

I know you're itching to use this meme but seriously what did that guy post to warrant it? There is absolutely no reason why peanut butter needs the addition of sugar and seed oils (you'd know that if you actually tried natural peanut butter), where is the keto-obsession in this statement?

Even in 100% natural form (you DO make your own peanut butter, right?), it's still a legume and contains too much omega-6
Store-bought has that floating gross seed oil layer on top

Sure, but you need to actually weigh it because PB is extremely calorie dense, so it's hard to gauge just how much is a single serving.

      Or just get a tablespoon

Get the powdered PB2GO version. Everyone knows it's much healthier

Nut butters in general are very calorie dense but what I like to do is get that powdered peanut butter and then mix it with almond milk or something to make a peanut butter like paste.

Also I make things with it that gives me the good taste of PB while actually filling me up. You should look up Thai peanut butter sauce and make some of that with your veggies, it's so fricking good.

I can eat a 3 pound jar of peanut butter without even noticing. Dangerous stuff unless you're gigabulking.

    I don't think it's efficient.

I've eatin plenty of tubs of peanut butter without considering the calories and mediocre protein content.

Same with actual peanuts.. love them, can eat 1lb in a couple days and it's 2-3k calories I think.

peanut butter has about the same number of carbs as protein. Not really keto.
