Seriously, does anyone still believe that governments make war for freedom and for their people? It's all for their money and power, kek. You are not a hero, you are just a fool who got played by people who don't give a frick about you

I mean sure I guess you could. It would be better than a machine only leg day or skipping legs. But you gotta keep in mind that even olympic lifters train the back squat. The front squat is heavily gated by your core and upper back. Back squat let’s you get more tonnage on your legs.

        >EMG scan
plus in this study they used the same weight for both exercises. no goddamn fricking shit you’ll make more gains front squatting a weight over back squatting that same weight. YOU CAN BACK SQUAT MORE WEIGHT THAN YOU CAN FRONT SQUAT! you also seem to not understand what “gated by” means. I’m not saying front squatting builds your upper back or abs. I’m saying that a lot of the time your legs will have the power to do one more rep but your upper back and abs don’t have the power to stay stable.

yeah. It's no different as long as you take them to the same level of intensity

Just do zercher's at that point.

Yeah it'll just be a more quad dominant lift and you'll need more volume than a front squat because you'll be using less weight

I'll probably catch a lot of shit for saying this, but I think front squats are superior to back squats for developing squat strength (higher bar or athletic stance squats, not powerlifting wide stance squats). I've gone years doing only front squats and only doing the occasional set of light (400-500 lb) back squats for reps. At any time, I could throw 600 lbs on the bar and do a paused back squat with little effort at all, just by focusing on front squats. Over the past few months I made the mistake of focusing on back squats - and neglecting front squats - and my heavier back squats feel shitty. Slow, unstable, and generally horrible. Frick that. I'm switching back to fronts for my main squat exercise and will only do back (probably SSB) squats as accessory work.

Yeah, guys used to do back squats on the balls of their feet cause it allowed for better posture. Regular back squat is a powercope movement.

I think it’s really cool when someone’s quads look like they have 4 different kneecaps
Mine don’t have this effect for some reason. Maybe I’m just too fat idk

Do you know your relative bf%? How much do you squat? Height and Weight? How long have you taken to get to that point? I'm personally only beginning to see leg improvements and even though im still a fat frick it is noticeable and now I'm addicted to flexing and feeling my beginner quad gainz

i have for the past 3 months while rehabbing a back injury. if you do this supplement your quad volume with something like belt squats, split squats etc because you will prob not be taking quads to failure on a set of front squats

yeah sure, but they won't feel better and they'll be weaker. personally I do zerchers
front squat should really be seen more as a supplemental lift especially for correcting form posture.

Why replace when you can just do both
Alternate between front and back every workout
Having some variation is good so you don't lose motivation due to boredom
That said, replace this crosscuck form with Zercher's Squat instead for better gains

Honestly, the look back squats give you, the HUGE swept quads that look like chicke drumsticks looks awful

I prefer the slimmer outer quads with thicker inner quads look, looks more powerful and elegant

I have a fricked up left shoulder, where if I move it my arm above and behind my head, it sometimes just randomly snaps out of it's socket and I have to put it back in. I've been doing machine leg press instead because I fear that it happens to me when I'm doing back squats and it gives me a one way ticket to snap city. Could this be a better exercise for me?

Wouldn't front squats be worse under the conditions you described? You don't put your arm above and behind your head with back squats, and you absolutely can stabilize the bar with just one hand in a back squat if you ever have to. At least high bar you can.
