Women probably prefer more natural looking men vs. ones who look like they're trying too hard and abusing steroids.

It was pushed by marketers to keep out of shape men complacent. Then it became a meme that some people took seriously like your dumbass.

      Who are these marketers?

Food industry. It's more exacerbated on women's physiques than men's (fat acceptance etc) anything to keep people's eyes off sugar, simple carbs, low quality cheap ingredients.

Not really a conspiracy, just profits. They know that demonizing fat doesn't work anymore so now they go for the fat acceptance, anti shame angle and it works really well tbh.

Women think this is a dad bod. You can't trust what women say about muscular bodies cause even when they sook about somebody looking like they spend their life in the gym they secretly swoon

      No they don't.

This. There was this one video where some british dude was interviewing girls and showed them pictures of guys, one had dad bod, one was whatever and one guy was really muscular and ripped.

They literally all except for last one said that they prefered the dad bod. They said that the guy in shape was too ripped, not natural looking etc. Well turns out that the guy fricking doing the interviewing was the muscular one. The women LITERALLY did not even realize that that was the guy they were talking to and he was wearing unbuttoned shirt, so he was showing his gains and not hiding in an oversized shirt.

In person they fricking didn't even realize that the guy lifted or was even the same dude. So just understand that whenever women say anything, it's complete opposite and not true. Unless we are talking Mr. Olympia tier freaks, there is no such thing as too muscular. Even if you get to your natural max with low bodyfat, its likely that women just think that's "natural". That's farmer strength, men just have testosterone kick in and thats the result of playing ice hockey or something. They can't even understand that you go the gym.

This is not demoralization btw, I'm just saying that the dad bod meme is not fricking true not in the slightest. I'll see if I can find the video. He was some british fitness youtubers in case someone recognizes this.

also women will outwardly prefer dad bod because they're socially programmed to promote the current opinion of the female sex. Most opinions of the collective women in society are astroturfed for social causes these days, so you get ridiculous things like women saying they prefer fat dudes.
Behind closed doors they'll take it from a lean muscular dude. Probably marry a decently fit, but not too attractive guy (so they can feel superior in that regard). Biological programming will beat out the collective message of the day everytime.

The difference between dadbod and shredded is one good cutting season. Women want muscular men.

Some do, but it’s a reflection on how they feel about themselves

    >if he’s not lean I don’t have to worry so much about my own weight
    >I know he’s still attractive but not as attractive as he could be, so I’m less worried that he’s going to frick other people
    >if he criticises me for my appearance I can criticise him too

It’s a compromise between looks and insecurity.

It's half a meme and half true. Women universally prefer muscular men, but there's some variance in how much bodyfat they're willing to accept. Most women indeed don't like the "5 % bodyfat ultra-shredded"-look, but that doesn't mean that they like genuine fatties; whenever it's used as a cope by fat dyels, they misunderstand it completely.

It's the same as with men: Some men like really thin, petite women (like me), others like "thick" women - which still doesn't mean that they like real fatties, but they like broader hips, a bigger butt and larger breasts and are willing to accept a bit of bodyfat with that.

When women talk about dad bods, they mean someone around 15 % bf who is very muscular, a bit more like a bear. And yes, many women would find the pic OP posted rather attractive. But this only works if you're very muscular, not if you're a skinnyfat homosexual. And it also means that you have to have genetics that only make your belly fat, never your ass or hips, and especially not your face, since a lean face is one of the most attractive features in men.

The myth came from a Planet Fitness study where they surveyed 100 women and 38% of them said they would date a guy who had a "dad bod"
Gossip rags cut that 100 surveyed to 50 and cherry picked the responses.

See if I can make you frickers understand.

Women see you as how the men around you treat you.
Get whatever physique earns you the respect from men and you will from that get the respect from women.
