No but I don’t get why I would want to. I can focus on pulling, or pushing and do more. They don’t look impressive as a handstand push-up if you wanna impress normies. I’d rather use the energy for more volume on pull-ups and dips.

I can't even do a pull up, I've been lifting for 7mo I can squat 205 and bench 160, still need like 60lb on the assisted pullup machine it's bullshit

As the king of skinnyfats starting out, I found the pullup assistance machine didn't help at all. For whatever reason if you put like a 25lb plate onto the kneepad it will sink down even if you have like 60lbs selected on the selector stack.

Furthermore, it just doesn't feel natural. Your best bet is to just progressively overload on lat pulldowns, do horizontal pulling as well, and also train biceps as an accessory. One day you will jump up and find that you can do a jumping pullup soon after you can do multiple half rep pullups soon after you will find that you can do deadhang pullups.

I felt the same about the assisted pullup machine, but I found that pullups with elastic bands feel more natural. It helped me to progressively overload with strict form untill i didnt need them anymore.

Never tried. How much harder than pull ups are they?

Slightly lower than the gap between one hand push up and regular pushup

So how many muscle ups would you expect from someone capable of doing 10 pull ups? Assuming a balanced physique.

You just need to learn the technique.

I do dips with close to my bodyweight added and pull ups with close to half my bodyweight so I think I probably could but I'm worried of hurting myself so I never really tried it

At the bottom of a cut (5'11" 170lbs 9%bf) I can do 6 strict form.

Top of a bulk I can do one at the minimum but am not guaranteed the second or third.

I can do a few on rings but I lack the explosiveness for bar muscleups.

I don't know, my pull up bar is too close to the ceiling.
I can max pull 50% bw and I can do dips fine, does that mean I can muscle up or is it different?

No, I will also probably never attempt one as I don't give a shit if I ever can. If you're a calisthenics guy I think it would be a nice goal to set though.

It's easy as frick, and requires barely any strenght if you do it dinamically, you canbang even 10 out ez no sweat ifyou have the technique down

BUT if you do it slow, with 0 momentum, holy FRICK
