      But take note that bread is a carb. You could make it your only carb source but you still need protein, fat, micros.

    As long as you're getting enough protein you can eat literally anything to hit you caloric goal and you'll make gains. I'm sick of morons framing this as if it's more complicated than that, you don't need to hyper optimize everything in your diet to build muscle..

          I don't want to do this, but I'm a student with no source of income hemorrhaging money on tuition and rent. I also take a multivitamin with iron and other stuff in it, I didn't mention that

            Eat lentils and rice, it's cheaper and more nutritious than bread. And switch the milk and whey for chicken breast.

              I appreciate the suggestion, but a single pack of chicken breast cost 5 times as much as a gallon of milk, which lasts me a week. Even if I were to switch from bread to rice and lentils I'd still be spending too much money.
