Can't get a 6 pack

5'8" 135. Lift like 3-5 times a week, train abs at the end of every workout. (1.5 min plank, 1 minute plank each side, 1.5 min hollow hold then 15-20 leg lifts with 15 lb weight. Repeat.) Still can't get the bottom 2 abs to show. Any advice? Are some people just genetically incapable of it?

yes, your stomach is a big muscle and then you have these weird shits that pack it up, whether you have 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 pack or whether it's even or uneven is genetic depending on how these little lines line up and wrap up the musclebut looking at the thumbnail it seems like youi may still have it? not sure

he probably doesn't look that good in M size clothes, I'm same height as him and 155 lbs and unless I wear S shirts slim fit I don't really look good unless with a bicep pump but then it's just arms

why would his arms need to look good "at least" on M shirts? Most models are 6'2 and they wear M size in modeling pictures. M is meant for a much larger frame than manlet OP. If you wear L you are with 99,9999999% certainty just fat, not a "buff dude". Or you are like 6'5.

Small is very reasonable for someone OP's size regardless of lifting or not.

youre right, but everyone on IST is at minimum 20% body fat and a forever obese.
models are lean and 7-10% body fat and rarely wear over size M in ALL clothing brands, even when they're 6'3"

PRO TIP FOR ALL YOU POWER SHITTER homosexualS: YOU WILL ALWAYS LOOK moronic IN CLOTHES EVEN WHEN YOU ARE 24% BODY FAT BUT CAN DO 2/3/4/5

holy shit you are small and underdeveloped why do you expect to advanced abs? eat more and focus on ab exercises that you can progressively load with more weight

Weighted ab exercises just give you a more blocky unaesthetic chest. Seems like it’s better to just do core exercises like planks, ab wheel, Russian twists, and also rely on squatting and deadlifts for more core strength.

It’s been a year of me lifting and you can see a full six pack when I’m flexed but only a small outline when unflexed. It’s still enough to excite my girlfriend but I wish there was more definition. I’m doing intense swimming for 30-45 mins 3 times a week now to see if that will make a difference.

I was in same boat. Yeah genetics makes it harder but eventually my abs got bigger and I got leaner and then like magic it appeared. At 135 lbs you are probably not muscular enough. Some people can get six packs while being skinny but otherwise you need to pack on more muscle mass.

Switching up the exercise you do will help. If it doesn’t get sore the next day you’re not doing the right exercise.

You are not working your abs hard enough you fricking moron.

Do Dragon Flags till your abs hurt, no weights necessary, flutter kicks are nice as are basic crunches done for 2 minutes each.

    >5'8"
    >no abs at 135lbs
You're skinny fat then. I was in your shoes a few years ago, I'm 5'7" and didnt have abs despite only being 130lbs. The fix is to build muscle, lift heavy and eat until you can do 10 reps of 1/2/3/4. Then cut. The abs will show then.

Bro, your program is almost all static holds and they don't do much for muscle growth. They're an endurance exercise. And now look at what endurance athletes look like. Not bulky.

Hypertrophy isolation exercises, brother. Knee raises, bicycles, cable crunches, all that stuff. To exhaustion. The rest is genetics®.

You might have mad ab insertions (ryan gosling does too, not really an issue)
