To physically build a muscle your body needs mostly proteins and fats, with only a minimal amount of energy. However, as other have said,

carbs give you an explosive amount of energy so they make it much easier to work out.

No, and not really necessary for most weight lifting activities in general. Cardio on the other hand requires carbs.

Carbohydrates are the non-starvation source of energy for the body. You are signaling to the body that you aren't moronic and found a way to secure fruit.

Carbs trigger insulin which signals muscle production, but carbohydrate is not used in the synthesis of muscle beyond being burned for energy (when applicable). Carbs are turned into glycogen for the muscles to use as a quick energy supply for workouts.
Carbohydrates are synthesized endogenously and therefore your question, which implies the ingestion of foods considered "carbs", would be negative in all forms, even if "carbs" were required to build muscle.
Case in point, two carnivore doctors, Dr. Anthony Chaffee and Dr. Shawn Baker. These two doctors put on muscle regularly and they are both not consuming significant amounts of carbohydrate in their diets.

This is not open to debate, by the way.

why do you lie so blatantly? I guarantee they have not put on an ounce of muscle or gained any significant strength. Only maintain. Anyone who tells you that carbs are unnecassry has obviously never trained seriously before at any serious level, i dont care what science you show me the proof is in the pudding.

Yes, carnivore diet is a diet that you don't die on and can thrive on.
      Non-toxic carbs are optimal, however.

You are a mentally ill vegan soicuck, so what are you b***hing about? This licensed Doctor Shawn Baker has powerful erections, gains muscle, beats the shit out of plant-based athletes (who don't even show up as blips on the radar in terms of strength comparatively) and does it all while looking far younger than his age. Your heroes meanwhile are dying from malnutrition left and right, injecting themselves with supplements and shoveling pills down their throats just to cling to their failing health diets for one more day.
            It's honestly pathetic.

Nice, prediabetes or full-blown type 2? How many years have you gone untreated? The original estimated lifespan remaining after being diagnosed was only up to 10 years, but with modern medicine and dietary interventions, that's no longer entirely accurate.
If you continue to refuse treatment/diagnosis, you may enjoy the benefits of sleep for longer than you are anticipating.

carbs are essential for health. you might gain muscles when doing lower rep stuff like 3x5 but you will need at peast 3g/kg protein and over 3500 calories. gluconeogenesis is not efficient and wastes protein away from building miscles, tendons, skin etc.. . you are better of doing high carb medium protein low fat diet.

protein is limited to about 40-50% of calories. you need carbs fat or some combination to make up the remainder

Your body requires a very small amount of glucose to function, but you are not required to eat any. It can make glucose from amino acids and when it breaks down a triglyceride it gets glucose (that’s why they’re called triglycerides).

    >required for building muscle?
    no
but moderate carbs are not harmful (says everyone beside ketolards)

and unless you hate good tasting food, it is really hard to avoid them

if you are an endurance athlete you need them though
something like trail running or triathlons
you won't be able to do them competitively if you don't eat carbs

If carbs are used only as energy, why do some people shill carbs after a workout? Wouldn’t they only be useful pre workout?
