      cardio doesnt burn calories.

Good cardio makes you better at lifting. Ignore this at your peril.

No, isometric lifting is better at resistance work.

60 minutes of cardio burn the same as as a sandwich.

          good luck homosexual cardio loser.

And also, cardio doesnt have afterburner effect.

Am I out of the loop here? Why the frick is no one asking what singing sustain workouts are

If your cardio sucks, your sets, especially on lower body, will often be capped by it. Not only that, but your inter-set recovery will be worse and your overall training density will be poor.

No exercise is necessary for weight loss and in actual fact can make it much more difficult because it increases hunger and most people use it as an excuse to eat more shitty food because they think they'll outrun that chocolate bar tomorrow. The easiest weight loss weeks I have are without exception when I'm doing very little exercise at all. I'm simply eating much less that week. I've lost 90lbs from my peak at this point. I have it down to a science as far as my body is concerned.

I agree about my willpower being weak. I'm at a healthy BMI without using willpower at all. Willpower is completely unnecessary for longterm weight loss. In fact, it's the path to failure. If you have to fight yourself every single day, you're just making things harder for no good reason.

          Anonymous

You don't have to fight yourself everyday. It becomes a habit and your body and mind adjust accordingly. Cardio provides benefits other than weight loss as well. Lower blood pressure, generally better mental state, healthy heart, etc.

The calorie meter on cardio equipment has been shown to overestimate calorieburn by up to 73% too much. Basically an hour of cycling really only burns like 150 calories and not 700 as people are mislead to believe

      Anonymous

Which also means you would require 4 hours of cardio to burn off a sandwich, hence why cardio is indeed useless

      Anonymous

You illiterate fat frick, you can measure your watt output of your cycling very accurately and convert it to how much calorie you burned just as accurately which unsuprisingly produce accurate results for weight gain/loss. World tier cyclers can even burn near double of that 700cal per hour with their 400ish wattage.

Cardio is NOT useless, quit being a fat queer. Running a mile once or twice week makes recovery time take a nosedive.
That being said, you are right that cardio machines like ellipticals and treadmills do overestimate your caloric output.
The best move for weight loss is to simply eat less, or at the very least majorly decrease your carb and unsaturated/trans fat intake.
That also being said, treadmills are the true cardio experience short of just running outside, playing a sport, or doing some real hiking and mountain biking.
