How do you carnivore bros shit? Isn’t it brutal mud shits/liquid?

I am interested in starting but this puts me off. It makes my asshole sting and burn really bad if I have too many liquid shits.

    Do you need to do carnivore? Carnivore is an autoimmune elimination diet you then use to build up an actual diet on top of (e.g. carbohydrates you tolerate)
    If you can adhere to basic carnivore long-term you're fat and/or sedentary

    I've been carnivore for a week now OP. Did keto in October for a month and a half, but fell off during Christmas time and the new year's.

    Pretty excited to see what dropping veggies does. I had a pretty intense keto flu for two weeks when I started keto, but after that it was smooth sailing.

    Anyway, my experience on carnivore thus far:

    - Been feeling a bit low energy for the past couple of days. I'm thinking this is when the body shifts from carbs to fat (hopefully).

    - Gut works a lot better. Only shit once in two days, and when I do it's solid and nice. Also, haven't been farting almost at all, which I used to do quite a bit.

    - Face toned up a bit and generally feeling lighter thanks to the loss of water weight.

    I highly recommend checking out Anthony Chaffee's channel, he's got some good shit on carnivore.

      Ah shit, forgot to talk about the mental health benefits on keto! Something I'm hoping translates over to carnivore as well. My anxiety pretty much disappeared and confidence went through the roof. Never experienced anything like that.

      It also fixed my hunger signals and anxiety regarding food and eating. Pretty interesting stuff!

          Also make sure to get enough fat! Most recommend a 2:1 fat:protein ratio but of course it varies with each individual. Without enough fat the carnivore diet is literally a starvation diet. We can't survive off protein alone, read on rabbit starvation.

              You can add eat tallow or butter with your steaks. You can ask a butcher to sell you the pieces of fat that he trims off from steaks for cheap, usually one dollar for a pound, you can cook a bit some of those and eat them with your meals.

    I’m going to give it a try, I ultimately would like to do pure carnivore for 3 months, then take a few weeks to switch to a high veggie diet with some fasting, back into carnivore. The idea is to mimic what early humans would have done. They wouldn’t have had meat year round and at times would have mainly eaten veggies. But if given the choice we would have always gone for meat. I at least would like to try this, make a real assessment of which foods/diet makes me feel the best.

        When I say veggies I mean plants in general. So nuts, fruit, roots, etc. It’s not a myth it’s just that larger game animals wouldn’t have been a daily thing. Most small game and then plant stuff in between. They’re able to sample shit like teeth and feces from disciples to get a rough idea of what we mainly ate. Seeds are supposedly absent. Wild tomatoes used to be the size of a berry btw.

    Diarrhea for the first 2 weeks. A lot of it has to do with you expelling extra water weight and built up jink. After that, no, just regular shits and better feeling guts as they are not constantly working over time, constantly churning to expel fiber. I don't know why some people have the illusion that non stop bowel action is good for them.

      The shits are my main concern. I’m having other issues which I believe is due to current diet, but the biggest is my bowel movements. I thought it was adulthood developed lactose intolerance so I ditched all dairy except eggs. It got better, but I still shit mud every morning and can’t even remember my last solid turd. It’s the kind of shit that you feel sitting in your body and makes you almost keel over until it’s out. Every fucking morning. I thought upping carbs would be the solution but no. So now I want to try this.

      I keep reading that humans are supposed to shit after every meal and the healthiest people I’ve known take a shit within hours of eating so that makes sense to me. But reading about this carnivore stuff people claim to shit every 2-3 days, however they say after a few weeks it’s a nice solid turd with very little wiping involved. I’m fine with only shifting every few days so long as it’s like my old turds used to be, a nice solid log.
