      Do I look really abnormal? Is this what people mean when they say what they see in the mirror doesnt match what they look like irl?

      I feel like when I look at my reflection all I can see are fat breasts and love handles that are extremely unflattering but as soon as the photo is taken I feel like the photo is a lot less unflattering than what I see in person.

      Am I going crazy? I'm genuinely confused because I feel like I look terrible

      Youre overdoing back work anon, you need way bigger arms to balance that out and its probably just the angle but your delts seem uneven too.
      Also add way more ab/hip hinge movements because you have a weak core and fatty hips.
      Well and youre overweight so your lower pecs are showing too. Do more incline work, arm work, and your legs seem alright, just not very defined yet.

      Im not posting body just yet, Ill get a pump at the gym after work and see how I look. I havent checked the scale but my serratus are connecting to my upper abs now so Im looking leaner for sure.

        Thanks. Any advice specifically for arms? What makes you say my back is overworked exactly? Im not sure what youre seeing. My deltoids are extremely unbalanced, im still figuring out how to effectively activately the back delts, theyre very small in comparison.

        My core is actually pretty decent from hot yoga, I just have an unfortunate fat distribution. Im hoping I can build a bit more muscle and maybe lean out so I can look normal. Wym my power pecs are showing? I carry fat in my chest so maybe thats what youre seeing

          Well I can see your lats while youre just standing there. Try rolling your shoulders back for the next photo I suppose, but if I can see lats on a guy with a comparitively small physique I know that hes been hitting back too much or is just genetically gifted for back.

          As for arms, I cant say much. I fell for the powerlifting meme that "Powerlifting trains biceps" for two years so Im catching up as it is right now.
          Generally Im doing concentration curls until failure then drop setting until total failure at 5lbs. Then Ill do that 3x a week.
          For triceps its just hammer curls and cable work like rope pushdowns plus any tricep machine the gym has

          Nevermind youre just skinnyfat then but what I said about the lats stands, if youre that slim but have visible lats then maybe you have some decent genetics for back work.
          Lower chest fat or muscle, either way do incline bench so youll drag that up and get it tighter.

          Youre not gross, never tell yourself that dumb shit. Youre more than enough, it takes courage to post your body and ask for advice and thats more than 95% of the world does.
          I looked like a white piece of dough when I started and would have been happy to have shoulders like yours.

          Either way cutting isnt viable at your weight, slowly bulk until 180lbs on a high protein diet and when you cut again youll have an Adonis belt for sure, I can see the potential in your physique. But youre going to have to be consistent and push yourself to work on increasing volume every single session for 3-5 months.

            I used to do a lot of pullups so maybe its that but lately I can barely do 10 in a set

            As far as arm size goes Im far more concerned w forearms than upper arms so I've been doing reverse curls but I also like to do dips. I have a very difficult time activating my triceps but Im working on it. I have found the tricep pushdown machine to be absolutely useless

            That means going heavier right? I just want to make sure. I have made the mistake many times in the past of going heavy and it always has resulted in injury. Ive been having far more success with yoga and calisthenics but I still weight train. I like to push how heavy I go but I focus more on range of motion, tension and controlling my form, instead of explosive and heavy. Will that still get me looking okay? I think if I had a higher baseline of strength it would make going heavy and explosive easier because in the past when I go heavy, my form suffers and I overcompensate with other muscles and i just feel like it defeats the purpose of exercising

              Volume just means the total weight lifted on the day increases. So if I do 10x10 at 60kg on bench, Ive benched 6000kg.
              The next day I should then try and beat that, with either more reps at the same weight or increasing the weight and doing slightly less reps.

              Now total that for all the machines and exercises that work chest and thats the volume you hit on chest.
              Total for arms would be total weight lifting on biceps including machines, warmups etc.
              Its a little more tedious than strength training, but youll be able to incrementally improve.

              Yeah not too bad, you have pretty wide lats and strong serratus potential too. Once you get some proper muscle on your frame youll look superb. Its just going to take consistency over a lot of month, just like anything.

              Maybe check the arches of your feet too,they look pretty flat which may need fixing if you hit a plateau on squat or have issue running sometime in the future.

                How would I fix flat feet exactly? Ive seen a podiatrist in the past and he said an option was to insert a piece of metal in my feet to help with the arch but I would much rather do it through holistic means. I definitely have flat feer. It doesnt impede my day to say life but it has definitely been an issue with running. With squats Im finding that I can get a really comfortable and stable, grounded form when I prop my heels up with small 5lb weights

                You can actually make some progress with your feet by just getting a low arched insole. (High arch insoles on your shoes will probably hurt if theyre super flat)
                Pop that inside your most worn pair of shoes and that will eventually force your foot into a better position and itll only cost a few bucks. That said, for squats, just go slightly wider and you wont need the heel assist.

              I only started January 96% of my physique is natural anon. Wait another few weeks for the cut to finish.

              Hm? For bulk, not back right? And I only used 30mg of var daily for 6 weeks eating 4000kcal a day. I basically didn't gain any body fat, it was a great bulk and first time cycle in my eyes.
              Did have a little suppression but the tamoxifen kicked in and I'm back to normal. Getting bloods done Saturday.
              I've lost a lot of weight but zero strength or size has been lost despite three weeks on 1500kcal a day.

                Anon it's just consistency. Even if you only do your compound lift of the day, you'll make progress. Three hours is far too much time on the gym. I'm in there fortyfive minutes for weekdays, to an hour and a half on weekends.

          Before, his delts were literally nonexistent. They doubled in size. His biceps and triceps also grew a lot proportionally.         That app is fitindex but all those scales/apps are made by the same Chinese companies and rebranded. It’s pretty consistent with my mothers Fitbit scale for the most part. It’s more for monitoring my trends though. BF is probably slightly lower on the scale than reality. I think I’m closer to 12%.

              Yes, people experience the most changes during puberty when your T and HGH are spiking. You can still change later in life though, just gets less likely. Most women look manlier with bigger jaws as they age.

                Upper limit isn't chronological age, but biological. So how well your DNA, organs, and blood are working. But you're definitely more malleable and prone to growth when younger.

                Thank you. What if I have a crossbite due to a previous injury? My masseter is already far too hypertrophied due to poor orthodonistry and bad head posture; I've fixed the head posture but if I clench my face looks swollen. Would chewing not just exacerbate the the problem or would it solve it over time?

                Honestly, I wouldn't try so much with a fricked up bite. The bonesmashing might be better if you find a way to prevent brain damage, like bracing your head and jaw so your brain doesn't move. Maybe try for a month and see what happens with either method. I think you should fix your bite first.

          You only need 0.8g protein per pound body weight anyways, although 1g doesn't hurt anything and is a nice easy number to remember. Doesn't take much meat to hit that number, even at 200 lbs, and there are a lot of other good sources. Potatoes are good. Maybe try rice and beans; cheap, can make it as fancy or simple as you want, makes a complete protein (granted less bioavailability than animal products), plenty of calories. Also eggs, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, etc.

            I still do the same bro split I’ve always done. Back/bis, chest/tris, shoulders/traps/core, legs then rest day.

            The bro science was mostly diet nonsense, chicken and rice with no consideration for calories among other things. I didn’t want to count calories and macros so I ignored it or guesstimated. Once I got the diet on point results showed. Diet is key for me.

          When I said you desperately need to shed some fat, I had misread your initial post. Didn't sink in that you had already lost a fair amount of weight. Still, you have a ways to go. Preferably down to 15% body fat.

          However, if you have been cutting for awhile (four months or longer), its fine to take a break for a couple weeks. That doesn't mean pig out or start bulking. It just means eat at maintenance for two weeks, and then resume the deficit. It can also help resensitize your body to weight loss.

    At the end of last year I got really really sick to the point where my doctor was worried that I had entered stage 3 of an illness that had been deemed terminal back in 2020. Once in stage 3 serious thought has to be put into hospitalization and end of Life Care. For 2 years I had constant tests that just confirmed that I was on track to be dead by 2028. And in 2023 I decided to have zero tests because I was sick of wasting hours of my dwindling life getting the same tests done showing absolutely no improvement.

    But after 2 months of being horrendously sick I agree to let them run the test again. The doctor went silent almost immediately when he started doing the scans. He looked very nervous and over the next 20 minutes repeatedly ran the scans again and again and checked and rechecked and brought in several other doctors and nurses into the room. He even got printouts of my old tests to compare it.

    I was left waiting in the waiting room for over an hour after this. A test that normally takes about 10 minutes took more than half an hour already. Eventually I was called back into the doctor's office and he had a huge smile on his face.

    They had never seen my condition improved so much so fast in anyone. I'd gone from between stage two and stage 3 live of failure to not even classified as stage 1. I was not supposed to get better from this. I went from having 5 years left to live to 50 years left to live.

    Specialists in my particular condition would not even take me as a patient, and refuse to treat me because they said I was probably an alcoholic despite me never drinking.

    My severe illness was just that I went from having the cold to the flu.

    It's been less than 3 months since I got back into working out and I've gone from struggling to bench 50 kg for 10 reps to benching 75 Kg for 10 Reps for two sets today.

      Are you mtf? You can't slim down your shoulders but you can widen your hips and ass to give yourself an hourglass instead. Focus on hip abductions, RDLs, bulgarian split squats, and hip thrusts to give yourself more feminine curves. For the rib flare, make an effort to stop sucking in your stomach throughout the day and learn to flex your abs and pull your ribs in. Make a "tsss" sound as you exhale and you'll kind of see what I'm talking about. Throughout the day, whenever you're standing up straight, sitting, doing any kind of exercises, flex your core that way and focus on contracting those deeper core muscles to bring your ribs in. Do NOT arch your back when you're standing/posing, even if it makes your ass look nicer. It will worsen the flare considerably. Make sure you always have proper posture, stacking your ribs over your pelvis.
