Why do weighted bodyweight exercises seem to lead to more joint problems? I love doing bodyweight stuff and am even up to 25 one handed pushups at 225 pounds but I dislike the way stuff like dips/pushups/pull-ups feels compared to just lifting even heavier weights on barbells or machines.
interesting observation; I noticed I got biceps tendonitis pretty bad from doing heavy weighted chinups, even though doing other biceps workouts with equal intensity didn't give me that problem. I haven't done those in a while and I still feel the tendonitis sometimes. why specifically would weighted calisthenics cause this?
Because your form is shit all bodyweight movements are compounds so treat them like that lower volume and up the weight

To get chest doms from bench you need to do high volume paused reps, the only way it happens for me.
