      There's nothing wrong with fruit other than I'll gorge myself on it if I have it in the house. I'm trying to get away from sugar like an alcoholic tries to get away from booze.

        sugar is good for your metabolism in reasonable amounts, I like to eat a very high protein meal and then have a piece of fruit or some blueberries for desert. I've tried the whole no sugar no carb thing and it did not work for me.

    Similar to the turn of the century diet a lot of strongmen like picrel ate. Meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, dairy, eggs, butter, coffee, and tea. Every once in a while they'd have some beer or a slice of cake. Some were vegetarians who ate a lot of eggs and cheese and were still some of the biggest and strongest on earth at the time. Just eat those foods until you're full and eat slowly and intently. I haven't read a single book by any of them saying you should gorge yourself and basically all said that eating past being full is you poisoning yourself with food
