Cholesterol is a fucking meme
I eat a carton of raw eggs and chug a gallon of 3% milk a day
Fuck you all you bunch of pussies
Cholesterol is a fucking meme
I eat a carton of raw eggs and chug a gallon of 3% milk a day
Fuck you all you bunch of pussies
everything "nutritional science" says is a meme.
the molecule isn't a meme
eating it doesn't affect serum cholesterol though
that's one shit meme that needs to go away
Lol show me your bloodwork motherfucker
I don't need to show you shit
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9143438/
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6024687/
Hahaha since when are NIH articles legit? Go eat a dick
maybe you should eat more eggs you coping fatfuck
Those studies are egg industry funded, the author Maria Luz Fernandez has received funds from the Egg industry
>Maria Luz Fernandez has received funds from the Egg industry
can you post a link
>Maria Luz Fernandez
>M.L.F. and C.N.B. have received prior funding from the Egg Nutrition Center.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29596318/
>industry funded research
>valid
No
So what, is there anything wrong with the studies? They match what we see, thin people don't have cholesterol problems no matter how many eggs they eat.
Both of those articles state that saturated fat causes cardiovascular disease.
I take it then considering how you view them as sufficient evidence (ie you’ve shared them to defend your anti-dietary cholesterol stance) that you avoid saturated fat?
They don't
Of course, because they wre egg industry funded
I said saturated fat, not dietary cholesterol.
Oh ok
How about the studies they cited?
I can cite studies that say meat causes cancer and studies that say meat has no effect on cancer. By definition and egg funded study is going to cite what agrees with them and if there very premise is flawed then I dont have to go backwards to justify your bias
Sorry for the typos I'm on mobile
NTA but the evidence cited in these studies for saturated fat causing CVD is extremely weak.
They typically look at people with existing CVD and try to reduce it by lowering dietary fat of all kinds, and one study cited had a combined approach of reducing dietary fat, stopping smoking + moderate exercise.
> study says dietary cholesterol doesn’t cause cardiovascular disease
“Aha take that vegans I will eat all the dietary cholesterol”
> point out that the same damn study says saturated fat causes cardiovascular disease
“this is a bad study it should go in the trash”
You can't pick and choose parts of a study you like as evidence for your claim
Dietary cholesterol is a meme for most people. Exercise and cardio are more important. Some people are also genetically predisposed to high blood cholesterol and therefore need to watch their diets.
This. Sedentary lifestyles are so common nowadays that midwit scientists blame healthy foods for health problems instead of the fact that the morons in the study are fat as fuck and don't move their bodies.
Yes something your brain and cells are made out of and is essential in synthesizing hormones will surely kill you now buy our statins :^)
Enjoy your diabeetus.
not eating the bugs, gay
>Vegans eat bugs
bugs/fake meat, same thing
Vegans love bugs though
>Eat glucose
>Spike the fuck out of your blood glucose
>Create inflammatory state in your body
>CRP and total inflammation goes up
>Walls of arteries crack and try to heal
And there's your heart disease you limp-brained gay
Fruit itself doesn't have that response. It's mostly an added sugar and fiberless sugary food problem.
Bugs would probably be less toxic than the fake meat.
*Natural fruits
Apples before domestication didn't have 60g of pure fructose per fruit
The only one that doesn't make me cringe is raspberries
>before domestication
Most fruits before domestication were very small with relatively little edible meat.
yep
Again, 50g of complex cards is toeing the line and even Stan Efferding admits that in his vertical diet. When you're injesting 60g+ of fructose you are spiking the fuck out of your blood insulin, reducing ketone production and probably fucking your other hormones along the way.
I'm not 100% against carbs, I actually eat croissants on workout days but fruit, esp shit in the u.s. is basically poison.
>muh sugar
if you aren't sedentary this isn't a problem
Only happens with junk food. But sure, you go girl.
have you gotten bloodwork done? I've been curious about eating a lot of eggs daily because they are based on every facet, but every study or article i find is just saying "1 a day is PRORBABLY fine" nothing about 3+ a day
Do you know your family history of heart disease?
grandpa died of heart attack, dont know of anything beyond that
Your ldl has a chance of going up, depends on genetics. Ldl by itself without context is not an indicator of heart disease though.
>Donating blood to dump iron
>start at 161 total cholesterol
>"Fuck me that's low, gotta EAT and get that number up"
>Down to 140 total after 5 donations
>"What the fuck I need to fix this"
>Start eating 2 dozen eggs a week, each half dozen fried in a heap of butter
>Donate blood
>Cholesterol still solidly at 140 total
My trig/hdl ratio is 0.4 and anything under 2 is "safe from heart attack". I don't mind having high HDL but having high LDL protects you from heart/brain disease and some other nasty shit.
How can I pump my LDL numbers IST? I like drinking wine and that allegedly raises hdl and suppresses ldl
cut down on plant sterols. switch from olive oil to butter. remove seed oils. etc
I don't have any in my diet.
The only non-animal product I regularly eat is a costco protein bar which has a negligible amount of onions protein in it (main is whey).
What is your bmi?
how's it look, IST?
HDL/Trig ratio is great
Just try to up that LDL, you're wanting at least 120 to be in the middle of the mortality chart
weak cholesterol gains, this is what it should look like.
gigachad
I have eaten 2 eggs every morning for the past 8 years and my doctor said my cholesterol levels were normal
I'm convinced that it's literally the opposite that the more you eat cholesterol the lower your chronic levels are and the more seed oils you eat the higher your LDL gets.
I had bloodwork done when I was using canola oil and olive oil only in whatever I cooked and ate. My LDL was high and my HDL was moderate. I got pretty scared, but based on the doctor's recommendations there was nothing for me to do except start taking cholesterol lowering medication which was out of the question since I was 21.
During the next years I sort of "let myself go" since I was in a new environment where certain food stuff was easier to get than others so I switched to eating butter, full fat milk and more meat with not really almost any kind of seed oil in my diet. Once I got back from there and had my bloodwork done I was ready for a death sentence, but instead everything was better than it used to be, LDL normal, HDL high and triglycerides within the normal range. Nothing else than my diet had changed, I was just as active as before and wasn't particularly stressed.
I was eating what many idiots would call a "heart attack diet" but that's just the thing that kept my arteries clean so I don't really trust anything that comes to nutrition anymore, I experiment on myself.
lots of things can change cholesterol levels. it even varies with the seasons or throughout the day. pretty consistent that seed oils lower serum cholesterol but generally not with favorable mortality outcomes
>eating butter, full fat milk and more meat
Like what people have done since forever and didn't drop dead of heart issues.
I do all that, and despite looking like shit (I grew up poor on a road near chemicals and momma fed me the "healthy" diet of sneed oils and carbs) my actual inner health is that of a teenager.
>don't really trust anything that comes to nutrition anymore
I don't trust anything I read or hear over mass media or infected individuals. The matrix isn't an Andrew Tate meme. All of this information we are bombarded with is designed to make us do things other people want us to do. I can only trust myself.
>I eat a carton of raw eggs
WIDDLE BABY. LOOK AT THE WIDDLE BABY.
I eat 12 eggs a day. 6 cooked; 6 raw.
My blood work is top tier.
I have this friend, the doc is all hurr durr high cholesterol and high blood pressure, stop eating eggs and salt durr.
I told her to eat 3 eggs daily for her brekkie and use salt. She now has great health.
Like fucking hell, high blood pressure people are given diuretics to piss out salt, which also pisses out potassium, and lack of potassium leads to high blood pressure.
Modern pharma is a money making meme clown show of evil.
>cholesterol le bad
Literally crystals cure cancer smoke weed to heal the world divorced single mommy tier science
I eat a fuck ton of eggs (have hens) and whole milk - my cholesterol numbers and ratio are great and blood pressure is fine even with high blood pressure running in family.
Carbs in the AM leave me feeling like shit.
High cholesterol levels aren’t caused by diet. They are caused by genetics.
Then how come cutting meats lowers cholesterol
How come not getting sunlight reduces vitamin d levels?
Ok so you are admitting dietary cholesterol raises blood levels
If I eat meat at every meal will my cholesterol levels hit a cap or will they escalate indefinitely?
Are you going to answer the question or just keep evading
how come carnivores have excellent cholesterol levels
How come carnivores destroy their guy health and have to reintroduce fruits? Idk. Answer the question instead of pivoting to a strawman.
Gut*
post body
People are shitty processed food and heart attacks.
Doctors looked at blood and said ooh, high cholesterol - it's clogging up your arteries, it must be what you're eating.
In truth the shitty processed food is full of sugar which is trying to dissolve your arteries and salt which is trying to burst the arteries with added pressure. Your body creates cholesterol to try to fix your ravaged blood vessels and patch things up. At this point cholesterol from your morning eggs (the only unprocessed food you eat you fat fuck) decides to hang out with the cholesterol in your arteries that it passes and makes things worse.
Stop eating sugar you fucks and do some exercise.
>People are shitty processed food and heart attacks.
Makes no sense. Didnt read further
>I have high cholesterol
>durrr doctors are wrong!
>it must be all the veggies!
2000 calories of apples is more dangerous than 2000 calories of bacon and cheese. You will brick your liver and develop insulin resistance with an apple only diet.
Ok buddy whatever you say
And you will give yourself colon cancer with 2000 calories of Bacon. Its almost like eating entirely one thing isn't something people do and you are using a strawman argument
no evidence for this
Ok enjoy your bacon
will do thanks.
i know what people call "evidence" for this claim. its not compelling and its probably wrong
Sure you do
Ignorance is bliss huh
I've never met anyone who eats more than 1 apple at a time. That's weird.
Dont bother hes strawmanning or trolling
i eat 2+ apples when i need poops to be softer
You should switch those apples for bacon and cheese or you will kill your liver. I know because an anon told me
Eat celery instead. It's less sugary and more fibrous.
Theres nothing wrong with fruit sugar.
>yes there is
Okay you win enjoy your celery
of course, and no one eats a bacon grease diet. No one just guzzle olive oil every meal. Both the sugar only and fat only diets are retarded, but the sugar only one is much worse.
To clarify for any who don't understand why opinion has been split on cholesterol for the past few decades; the old research that established a link between CVD and high cholesterol diets didn't account for other nutritional factors. It isn't concrete, but currently it appears that dietary cholesterol has no bearing on blood cholesterol in healthy adults. I must really exaggerate that point though, healthy adults.
By coincidence or design, foods high in trans-fat and saturated fat also tend to be high in dietary cholesterol as well. We now know that those two are more directly correlated with a high chance of CVD, and the old research came to the wrong conclusion with the correct evidence. So if you're obese and are fat, a high cholesterol intake isn't inherently dangerous by itself, but you're likely consuming some pretty dogshit stuff alongside it that WILL increase your chances of developing CVD.
tldr: cholesterol isn't inherently bad and is fine to eat, foods high in cholesterol however tend to be full of shit that's bad for us.
Wow how can I be more like you you're so cool
have an incredibly small penis and only have correct opinions
This is about right, but there's also evidence that some people are more susceptible to high levels of blood cholesterol than others, due to genetics. Those ~10% of the population have to exercise more control over their cholesterol intake.
Your body will straight up make cholesterol and other fatty acids in your liver using carbs and protein as building blocks. The only difference between eating a bowl of pasta and guzzling a quart of bacon grease is that your liver is going to work to turn those carbs into cholesterol and the insulin response is going release more of it into your bloodstream than you could possibly need, whereas you will just have an oily runny shit with your bacon grease and your liver does nearly no work. Both retarded, one considerably more retarded unless you plan to use the insulin response to build muscle.
Kekking hard
kekking at you m8, you are tarded
https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/how-its-made-cholesterol-production-in-your-body#:~:text=Only%20about%2020%25%20comes%20from,fat%2C%20sugars%2C%20and%20proteins.
Your liver makes cholesterol out of the foods you eat, regardless of what you eat. cope more veganchud
You are posting evidence for veganism lol not against it
>liver producing cholesterol is a fact that supports veganism
whatever you say bud
Maybe you dont hang here a lot but but carnivore and keto shills often say dietary cholesterol is necessary
* in response to vegan arguments
its not. They are retarded. Dietary essential fatty acids are necessary. 2 of the 3 essential fatty acids that your body can't create are found in animal fats, and all 3 can be found in animal fat without plants. Foods high in cholesterol are just easy on your liver vs forcing your liver to convert onions and lettuce to cholesterol and other fatty acids.
I'm aware. And no, there are no essential fatty acids that you can't get from plants
Sorry misread your post. You are correct but I dont agree with your implication
I'm not a ketotard or carnitard if that's what you were thinking, I'm just discussing benefits of low carb and utilizing fatty meats and dairy for a cut. I think carnitards are almost as bad as vegans, and ketotards typically are fatties that have no idea what they're doing.
Good stuff
I eat double that, you pussy.
Brainlet here
If cholesterol is real, why it doesn't spike hours after eating 10 eggs and bacon?
because cholesterol doesn't spike cholesterol, insulin spikes blood cholesterol
what even ketards don't understand is that keto is only good for cutting and its fucking trash for bulking since you can optimize your insulin to promote muscle growth and testosterone production
>Cholesterol is a fucking meme
high blood cholesterol is a sign of inflation in the body, it's not caused by anything, your body makes cholesterol to fix shit, when you have high cholesterol it means something is making you inflamed on a constant basis, it could be smoking, drinking or eating something you are allergic to, but instead of changing habits doctors just tell you to not eat animal products and give you a pill that literally castrates you
hey retard. No one is saying dietary cholesterol is the bad thing. In people with predisposition to high cholesterol, they excessively turn dietary saturated fat into cholesterol in their liver, which causes atherosclerosis. Literally read anything before shitting up this board with your retarded opinion. You lose speaking privileges until you're reading to actually research what you want to make big loud dumb claims about
not true.
The cholesterol becoming oxidized is what causes atherosclerosis
>Be me
>Cook everything I eat
>Work out everyday I physically can, 4-5 days a week usually
>Eat clean, too.
>Go to the doctor
>"You have high cholesterol"
Yeah ok.
Tell him about your fitness achievements.
I work out with *him* (it's a woman). She sees what I am. What I do. Soon I will leave this planet behind.
