Cold Hands

Guys, we seriously need a /coldhands/ thread. I need repills stat on how to not have cold hands, there's gotta be some biological reason for it, and doing fun activities like skiing in the winter is fricked up by having cold hands. PLEASE drop some cold hand redpills for potential health causes or solutions to cold hands. Also applies to feet I guess and toes.

This is a step in the right direction. There are some other things you can do to prevent cold hands. When your core is easily warm then it does not restrict blood flow to your extremeties. You also could feel cold hands but they are actually a good temperature and it could be a different health problem not related to blood circulation. In the winter it is more important to warmup prior to a workout.

Alcohol improves surface bloodflow in light to moderate doses, assuming your heart is healthy enough to maintain pressure, and would actually help keep your hands warm.
Correct on the other two though.
Also OP should get a low dose Cialis scrip, that shit is magic.

If you drink heavily you will have bloodflow problems while sober

my family has this but i've only ever seen my fingers turn blue and it hasn't been a big deal for me because i
      >take my vitamins
      >take astaxanthin
      >wear mittens if it's v cold
      >breathe correctly
      >exercise
      >expose myself to cold rather than hide from it
      >can control my body temperature and blood vessels to an extent
i think the issue is that people are not being exposed to the cold like they would be in nature. for example, my family is ethnically from a cold environment, and i can't tolerate heat well, yet we have raynaud's?
and i spent the most time in the cold and have adjusted so well that i don't need as many layers and my fingers and toes do fine. people who spend the most time indoors at acceptable room temperatures seem to have the greatest issues with the cold.

I don’t have Raynauds though my hands always go purple in winter and take ages to warm back up. Definitely genetic as my paternal grandfather has the exact same issue when it’s chilly. Fit and good blood flow normally so don’t know what could cause it. Not OP btw

I have the same problem with sweaty hands and feet. Doc told me it's anxiety but I don't think that's accurate. Things that I've noticed which help:
      Cardio exercise
      Drinking alcohol
      Cold showers
      Being outside
      Trimming finger and toe nails

      sweaty palms is hyperhidrosis.
It's misfiring of the nerves of the hands which overstimulates the sweat glands.
      It's genetic most the time.
anything that stimulates nerves will make it worse.

there are very easy ways to treat this.

          i gave you one already.
lontophoresis is the number one way to cure excessive feet/hand sweating.
          Nothing beats it.

Creams, antiperspirants work, but require more frequent daily application and have meh results. I've used all of these before. If I wash my hands or sweat excessively (say it's extremely hot outside) they stop working as effectively and I have to reapply the mixture.

see if yo can get lontophoresis, it flat out works.
my hands still sweat, but it's like 50% reduction in sweat. Which isn't bad for a once a month treatment session.
I have hyperhidrosis on both feet, hands, and armpits. I sweat way too often across my body.

Alternatively just have your sweat glands removed.

Interesting, thanks. I was hoping for a more natural remedy though as that seems a bit inconvenient having to do weekly treatments for an hour, not to mention the cost.

              Anonymous

There is no natural remedy other than potentially changing who you are as a person.
Since the nerves are overstimulated you could argue anxiety could be a cause.
However if you don't suffer from anxiety, that limits greatly what could be the cause of it.

Some people just sweat more Anon and sweat even more when anxious.

It's possible to embrace it. Women are attracted to the pheromones put out in fresh sweat, and you have the cheat-code of sweating even without physical activity or excessive heat... To me that screams Chad gene, but society loves to gaslights sweaty handed people; probably because these expensive treatments exist.
Use a specific antiperspirant for the hands/feet if it bugs you that much, and cut out/reduce stimulants or other things that are causing your nervous system to act up.

You guys are all homosexuals and overcomplicating things. I'll give you what's worked for me.
I'm a nurse, and the warmth of my hands impacts how patients see me. Warm hands are charismatic.

Every year when I step outside and feel the slightest chill in the wind, I start ending my showers with a couple minutes of cold water, as cold as it goes. As the season gets colder, the ground water gets colder, and so do my showers. My body begins to compensate as the water gets colder by becoming warmer.
            My hands are never cold.
I stop the practice when it starts warming up cause I sweat like a pig in the summer if I don't. My gf says she can tell when I start showering cold cause it gets tough to cuddle, I get too warm.

Anon, you came into this thread for a simple magic-bullet answer. I have it for you. Shower cold.

Maybe you have reynauds? I have it. I take cold showers I've gone out into the cold to try to get my body adapted to the cold. It has worked but only for my " inner body" I can't think of the word I'm too tired. My extremities are terrible at staying warm. Wear hiking socks and big gloves. Indoors I have these charcoal gloves or something. They work very well. Don't be stressed, practice stoicism. Sudden spikes of stress worsen my hands. Make sure your hands aren't clammy or wet mine get clammy then freeze. Really there ar little solutions your hands will also get questioned a lot too haha which is pretty funny. They also take a while to heal so watch for that in terms of lifting. This is probably pretty basic stuff but yeah goodnight

how tf do I fix cold feet. I wear 2 pairs of socks and boots around the house becasue my feet get so cold. Even that keeps them warm enough to be comfortable at most. The only reprive I get from my feet being freezing is when I am at the gym or sleeping. My feet are cold in the SAUNA Ive got space heaters that I aim at my feet while studying. I hate having to do all this stuff just to stay comfy. I know how you feel OP
