Guys, we seriously need a /coldhands/ thread. I need repills stat on how to not have cold hands, there's gotta be some biological reason for it, and doing fun activities like skiing in the winter is fricked up by having cold hands. PLEASE drop some cold hand redpills for potential health causes or solutions to cold hands. Also applies to feet I guess and toes.

wear mittens not gloves
This is a step in the right direction. There are some other things you can do to prevent cold hands. When your core is easily warm then it does not restrict blood flow to your extremeties. You also could feel cold hands but they are actually a good temperature and it could be a different health problem not related to blood circulation. In the winter it is more important to warmup prior to a workout.
>Alcoholic
>Diabetic (see alcoholic)
>Low in b vitamins
literally it. Stop eating and stop drinking you fat frick
Alcohol improves surface bloodflow in light to moderate doses, assuming your heart is healthy enough to maintain pressure, and would actually help keep your hands warm.
Correct on the other two though.
Also OP should get a low dose Cialis scrip, that shit is magic.
Yes, while its in your body
If you drink heavily you will have bloodflow problems while sober
The simple solution is to drink low quantities of alcohol throughought the day, as did our ancestors.
Win hoff breathing
you probably have poor circulation which can be cause by dozens of things all of which are very easy to look up for yourself
My hands get really cold sitting at my computer. I usually run them under hot water in the gym to get them warmed a few times.
If your fingies get white when cold that'd be Raynaud's Syndrome
my family has this but i've only ever seen my fingers turn blue and it hasn't been a big deal for me because i
>take my vitamins
>take astaxanthin
>wear mittens if it's v cold
>breathe correctly
>exercise
>expose myself to cold rather than hide from it
>can control my body temperature and blood vessels to an extent
i think the issue is that people are not being exposed to the cold like they would be in nature. for example, my family is ethnically from a cold environment, and i can't tolerate heat well, yet we have raynaud's?
and i spent the most time in the cold and have adjusted so well that i don't need as many layers and my fingers and toes do fine. people who spend the most time indoors at acceptable room temperatures seem to have the greatest issues with the cold.
look up brown fat.
t. skier
>brown fat
german mountain family, pretty accurate.
literally just go outside in shorts and a jacket all winter other than deep into jan/feb.
hands get cold sometimes, but i just keep walking at night during the freezing temperatures.
you get use to it quickly.
cold showers
wim hoff method
Look up reynauds disease. I think I have it. Doctor doesnt know what causes it. Being warm doesnt fix it, it takes an hour or two to go away.
Do you take stimulants? Nicotine especially. Reducing or ceasing stimulant use may help.
>t. armchair physician
Yes I no longer vape/smoke but I chew nicotine gum and I also take adderall
>Reducing or ceasing stimulant use may help
I'm pretty sure caffeine makes my hands cold too
I don’t have Raynauds though my hands always go purple in winter and take ages to warm back up. Definitely genetic as my paternal grandfather has the exact same issue when it’s chilly. Fit and good blood flow normally so don’t know what could cause it. Not OP btw
My mom has it and it makes going anywhere in the cold miserable
Your outermost extremities will always be the first to get cold since your body will concentrate its heat inwards to protect your vital organs. So basically wear a warmer jacket
lack of cardio.
i can not believe the amount of shit you guys will try to cope with.
Black person, do more cardio.
99% of the problems you have are fixed with more cardio.
>insulin diabetes
fixed with cardio
>low energy
fixed with cardio
>cold hands
cardio is a vasodilator
>bad nutrition
oh look cardio increases nutritional transference in the body.
dumbfrick cardiomonkey
ive always been self concious about my permanently sweaty palms. i guess theres two sides to the same coin. anything to do about my thing?
I have the same problem with sweaty hands and feet. Doc told me it's anxiety but I don't think that's accurate. Things that I've noticed which help:
Cardio exercise
Drinking alcohol
Cold showers
Being outside
Trimming finger and toe nails
sweaty palms is hyperhidrosis.
It's misfiring of the nerves of the hands which overstimulates the sweat glands.
It's genetic most the time.
anything that stimulates nerves will make it worse.
there are very easy ways to treat this.
91% of people having some positive benefit is better than almost any medication you can imagine.
It will take a few months to fix, but once you get it fixed it only requires a monthly charge to fix it again.
>very easy ways to treat this
I'm all ears
i gave you one already.
lontophoresis is the number one way to cure excessive feet/hand sweating.
Nothing beats it.
Creams, antiperspirants work, but require more frequent daily application and have meh results. I've used all of these before. If I wash my hands or sweat excessively (say it's extremely hot outside) they stop working as effectively and I have to reapply the mixture.
see if yo can get lontophoresis, it flat out works.
my hands still sweat, but it's like 50% reduction in sweat. Which isn't bad for a once a month treatment session.
I have hyperhidrosis on both feet, hands, and armpits. I sweat way too often across my body.
Alternatively just have your sweat glands removed.
Interesting, thanks. I was hoping for a more natural remedy though as that seems a bit inconvenient having to do weekly treatments for an hour, not to mention the cost.
There is no natural remedy other than potentially changing who you are as a person.
Since the nerves are overstimulated you could argue anxiety could be a cause.
However if you don't suffer from anxiety, that limits greatly what could be the cause of it.
Some people just sweat more Anon and sweat even more when anxious.
It's possible to embrace it. Women are attracted to the pheromones put out in fresh sweat, and you have the cheat-code of sweating even without physical activity or excessive heat... To me that screams Chad gene, but society loves to gaslights sweaty handed people; probably because these expensive treatments exist.
Use a specific antiperspirant for the hands/feet if it bugs you that much, and cut out/reduce stimulants or other things that are causing your nervous system to act up.
You guys are all homosexuals and overcomplicating things. I'll give you what's worked for me.
I'm a nurse, and the warmth of my hands impacts how patients see me. Warm hands are charismatic.
Every year when I step outside and feel the slightest chill in the wind, I start ending my showers with a couple minutes of cold water, as cold as it goes. As the season gets colder, the ground water gets colder, and so do my showers. My body begins to compensate as the water gets colder by becoming warmer.
My hands are never cold.
I stop the practice when it starts warming up cause I sweat like a pig in the summer if I don't. My gf says she can tell when I start showering cold cause it gets tough to cuddle, I get too warm.
Anon, you came into this thread for a simple magic-bullet answer. I have it for you. Shower cold.
I wouldn't tell you if it didn't work.
>cold showers
literally the only other anon itt who shoots straight.
I've tried cold showers and it didn't work. go frick yourself homosexual nurse
Your water isn't cold enough.
>you guys are homosexuals
>nurse
um projection much?
I have the opposite of this. My hands are always dry to the point that I have trouble gripping things when I'm not exercising. And whenever I try do drink liquids, it essentially runs right through me without absorbing
Do you eat keto unironically?
Answer truthfully.
Do you eat keto or low carb?
No, the opposite. I love my carbs and greens are my mortal enemy
I have incredibly low anxiety though, so I don't get nervous
lots of PUFA instead of saturated fat
Your thyroid functioning is likely compromised, have you been cutting weight or fasting?
Hypothyroidism.
Maybe you have reynauds? I have it. I take cold showers I've gone out into the cold to try to get my body adapted to the cold. It has worked but only for my " inner body" I can't think of the word I'm too tired. My extremities are terrible at staying warm. Wear hiking socks and big gloves. Indoors I have these charcoal gloves or something. They work very well. Don't be stressed, practice stoicism. Sudden spikes of stress worsen my hands. Make sure your hands aren't clammy or wet mine get clammy then freeze. Really there ar little solutions your hands will also get questioned a lot too haha which is pretty funny. They also take a while to heal so watch for that in terms of lifting. This is probably pretty basic stuff but yeah goodnight
goodnight fellow reynaulds bro
You have either sickle cell or iron deficiency
I have Raynaud syndrome like in that pic. But I don't do anything for it, I try to avoid the cold but mostly I just live with the pain LIKE A MAN.
Someone has poor blood flow
Adrenaline causes it. Aka, caffeine intake.
Bromantane has helped me a lot. I actually get cold quite easily and now I am warm most of the time. I already do cardio 3 days a week, dont drink/smoke, and I've tried daily low dose cialis before.
that's reynauds syndrome in the pic
see a doctor jfc
>walk
>dont be fat
>eat fresh whole bioavailable food
>lift
how tf do I fix cold feet. I wear 2 pairs of socks and boots around the house becasue my feet get so cold. Even that keeps them warm enough to be comfortable at most. The only reprive I get from my feet being freezing is when I am at the gym or sleeping. My feet are cold in the SAUNA Ive got space heaters that I aim at my feet while studying. I hate having to do all this stuff just to stay comfy. I know how you feel OP
>5'10" 160lbs, about 11 percent BF, 20 y/o, 3 hours of low intensity cardio a week.
this is a bandaid you could use, and maybe try wearing merrino wool/thin ski sock type socks. I will not rest until someone on IST has a decent redpill on this issue, I'm convinced most of these dumb Black folk have never actually dealt with having severely cold hands/feet and fixed the issue. I'll drop two other redpills that are unrelated to share the love.
1. You can reverse your near or far sightedness and not have to wear glasses anymore. https://losetheglasses.org/
2. Black salve cures skin cancer, and other cancers. Greg Caton is the man who has a lot of research on it but now he ~~*died*~~. Facebook has some pretty based black salve groups.
try this. i randomly did this for my bad ankles but found out it fixed my cold feet as a side effect
sounds like you lack bodyfat. not saying you should do cold showers or any wim hoff bullshit but some cold exposure can help. being barefoot more often as well. most people have shitty feet because of modern shoes destroying their structure
how do you say whim hof is bullshit but know about the benefits of barefoot? Cmon Babe Believe
i just dont believe that living on stress hormones is a good thing and will only cause long term fatigue much like drinking coffee
barefoot is just a nobrainer, no one was born wearing air jordans with an inch and a half of muh arch support
caffeine, smoking, snus, being sedentary, alcohol, anxiety, all stimulants, poor posture and lack of nutrients are all causes of cold hands and feet
I had this for a long time. Had joint pain too. Thought it was overtraining. Felt super fricking tired. By all metrics I'm extremely healthy, but I felt really shitty out of nowhere after years of chronically cold hands.
Told the doc. Got blood tests. ANA+ and RNP 8.0. Likely some kind of autoimmune disease. Possibly lupus, but still pending results from further tests.
OP, watch out for your health. If you start feeling bad, tell a doc and try and get a blood test.
You either have poor blood flow or your t3 is nonexistent. If you're on stims stop for a few days and see if it stops. If it doesn't try supplementing t3.
>If you're on stims stop
Do they restrict blood flow to extremities or something? I've been taking ephedrine a bit lately and have had super cold hands on those nights
they restrict bloodflow to everything including your peepee.
They act as vasoconstrictors yeah. The intensity and location where the blood vessels are constricted depends on the stim.
>I'm skinny, 130 pounds 5'9"
100% hypothyroid. Get your thyroid function tested.
I thought hypothyroids are fat and hyperthyroids are skinny like OP
You got blood pressure and blood circulation issues bra.
I used to have this when I was highly sedentary. Daily walks and regular workouts with a pump are the cure.
Also don't ignore pro-blood circulation foods and cardio.
Eat more fatty foods if possible, I have been eating more peanut butter than normal and have started putting a spoon full of butter in my oatmeal.
More healthy fats keep you warmer.
For whatever reason, my hands are colder when I wear gloves.
>mfw raynaud's syndrome
AAAaaaaa
>take vitamin D
>take Ginkgo biloba to improve blood circulation
>invest in proper footwear and gloves
That’s about it
You have Raynaud's. My wife had it until I got her pregnant. Probably because she stopped drinking.
Look up Buteyko breathing
Got cold hands but not the same issue as OP. I have always had poor blood flow at the shoulders. I thought I had weak arms and just couldn't regular dead hang but once I was strong enough to do one arm dead hangs I realised it was a blood flow issue.
Anyone here delt(heh) with the issue? I'm 1.79cm, 73.5kg, around 80/120 bp, mostly trained in calisthenics but some lifting and gymnastic skills too.
