      Not sure about the other stuff but it is definitely better for your skin. Humans were not meant to have the skins protective barrier stripped away with hot water every day.

      kek, I always take cold showers and my gf always take hot showers so I sometimes wake up to her screaming because I have set the temperature too cold for her

    I don't fricking get it why so many people make shower temperature their personality. If it's hot outside like now (above 32C almost every day) I take cold showers. In the winter I take hot showers. Just don't use extremely hot water because it's bad for your skin,if you use a reasonable temperature its fine.

    Cold showers are kino comfy after working out for 2 hours in the garage on a summer day. Second only to probably working out in the dead of winter where you can see your breath.

        Ice baths are legit useful in many ways. Cold showers don’t have as strong physiological benefits, but maybe still ok for waking you up and building the whole overcoming difficulty thing.
        Relaxing is also important for recovery so hot showers might have similar amount of benefit in different ways.

        Also this, a “cold” shower on a hot day probably doesn’t matter much though.

          it reduces inflammation, which is what produces the adaptation (hypertrophy). it also speeds up recovery, which is the same as repairing (no adaptation)
