Sometimes. Especially likely if it's a morning shower. Even more likely if I'm avoiding caffeine that day. Feelsgoodman But not nearly as good as a cold plunge into a mountain stream. That shit is lit.
I jumped into the middle of a pool in the winter once, water was like 38F. My arms instantly sucked inward towards my torso. I had to flap my hands and kick my feet to get to the edge and climb out.
I heared joe rogan day its anti inflammatory, and muscle growth is inflammation. So thats why people say you shouldnt do it immediately after a work out.
I have not seen evidence that supports this or counters this. I love my cold showers after working out, so i need to know this.
cold exposure prior to a workout is supreme. like 2x's the test and dopamine bennies or something like that.
ice baths are great, but getting into the mindset first thing in the morning is iffy for me and 75% of the time I opt for a cold shower instead. there's these reusable ice packs at target that are pretty good to coldmaxx, check them out.

love them, but I live in the tropics. Looking at building my own cold plunge based on some designs of the ones on the market. They're $15,000, who the frick would buy that? I could build a luxury one for less than a third of that
yeah. hot water - makes you cold and dries ur skin
cold water - warms you up and idk what it does to the skin but it seems pretty obvious

...why not just buy a stainless steel tub or drum, and just use cold water and ice?
Do you really need to break that bank to have cold water?
buying ice and constantly replacing the water to manage growth is more expensive than doing a chest freezer + filter diy
Yeah been doing cold showers since Jan last year.
Feels good man.
We've had this thread thousands of times already. The real question is are the cryotherapy chambers I keep getting ads for legit? They seem fun
no, air is an insulator so you barely get any of the benefits
God no
>-6 outside where I live
>Cold shower

Other people are welcome to the health benefits for all I care
