Cotton Clothes & Microplastics

I'm trying to purge as many plastics and other harmful chemicals from my life. A big source of micro plastics come from our clothes. Polyester and spandex are cool, lightweight, comfy, and stronger than cotton for the same thickness. What are some good cotton clothes that don't suck? Specifically looking for underwear, t-shirts, and toe socks (don't knock them until you've tried them).

Also, what else can I do?
>Looking for a good natural shampoo. I'm a long hair chad.
>Ditched deodorant and body soap. Looking for a good natural hand soap.
>Already ditched plastic water bottles and using a stainless steel one. Looking for a good glass one.
>Switched all my plastic cooking utensils to stainless steel or silicone.
>Switched my Teflon non-stick pans to the Granitestone ones. Idk if they're actually less toxic.
>I only buy condiments and sauces in glass containers now.
>Got rid of all seed oils. I only use butter and olive oil now.
>Got rid of most heavily processed foods. I still eat pasteurized milk, cheese, ground meats, pure olive oil mayo, etc. Anyone know of a good ceaser salad dressing that doesn't have onions oil or canola oil in it?
>Switched to mostly organic foods fruits and veggies.
>When I can afford it I'm going to switch to all grass-fed, hormone, organic meats and dairy.
>Looking for a more natural lotion for very dry climates (it's 10-15% humidity year round where I live).

Yeah I'd also like to know if you've noticed any changes. Might be a good idea to keep a thread up once in a while if you get your T levels checked. Also watch out for fluoride, which lowers T levels and IQ levels. I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it isn't, its been studied several times.

I did pretty much what he described + stopped buying anything that had bad ingredients or perfume (like scented laundry detergent)

the most noticeable changes were stop using fluoride toothpaste that stopped my gums getting all inflamed and ditching plastic food containers, looking back the taste it leaves on food is really gross

since were talking about clothing also ditch water repellent clothing its threaded with teflon and other flourine based components, that actually never ever decompose like PFOS
they can be found in the blood of polar bears, and they will never disappear again. since there not degraded by sun ozone or hydrolysis.

Also, polyester, nylon, and spandex, despite having issues like you said, are actually the LEAST bad out of a million other horrible worse fabrics like bamboo fiber, rayon, acrylic, and many others that are just straight up some of the worst shit you have ever seen, go research it. Those are so scary that when I fail to find something 100% cotton (which is all the time now, I can't find 100% pure cotton FOR SHIT unless it costs like a million dollars for a pair of socks) I just remember how bad the other options are and I'm glad to take 80% cotton with polyester and nylon and spandex.

I will say I am pissed about it, but it's the smartest choice out of a million much worse choices.

Cotton/linen(flax fiber?)/hemp fiber are good options of course, maybe the ideal, but I can't find anything that's made out of these and actually pure.

IF YOU MUST buy anything with polyester and nylon and spandex, always wash it (really ALL your clothes) on COLD, and dry it on LOW/COLD/GENTLE or hang it up to air dry, this will keep the clothes in the best shape and make them shed way less plastic, and also make your clothes last for years instead of a few months.

This is improved further by washing your clothes with baking soda + borax (sodium bicarbonate + sodium borate) and adding ZERO detergent or softener or dryer sheets which are horrible for your body. this will clean your clothes really good and reduce allergy symptoms and less chemicals means less reactions with the close means clothes last longer in a good state.

        >bamboo fiber, rayon
        whats so scary about those?

during manufacturing they use harsh chemicals like Carbon disulfide which fricks the workers if the plants skip on health and safety. (in eats germany they said you could recognize people working in the "fibre" by their distorted walking)

but the end product should be absolutely fine (its a solvent so it evaporates long before the clothing is made) and biodegradable,

spaced to make it easy to read, no redit.

Most olive oil is supposedly fake and just made out of other seed oils by a giant global olive oil mafia. coconut oil is better in my opinion.

Instead of teflon, carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and pyrex are btter.

avoid teflon, aluminum, microwaves, induction cooktops, any gimmicks.

use normal glass top electric stoves, normal ovens.

get fluoride free toothpaste because fluoride fricks up your hormones and weakens bones and teeth (dental and skeletal fluorosis)

best deodorant is NONE or just put a small amount of white vinegar on by using a spray bottle or just by dabbing it on with a towel, then apply a small amount of coconut oil on top. Otherwise quick short showers are your friend, most deodorants are total shit.

most condiments and sauces have shit loads of hidden added bad oils, bad fats, bad sugars, bad salts, and so on. Just read the ingredients, and then make your own home made versions at home, you will avoid SHITLOADS of excess weight gain that you didn't know was hitting you.

for lotion, you could use coconut oil, or buy natural peanut butter and pour the excess oil from the top into a jar in your fridge to keep it fresh. peanut oil is AWESOME for skin unless you are allergic to peanuts or coming into contact with people who are allergic. it's also good lube, again avoid allergic people. coconut oil is good lube too.
you could also get shea butter or cacao butter. basically most lotions are expensive shit and 99% water and preservatives so you save money buy just buying some bulk plant fat and using small amounts.

natural soap: toms of main amazon

    natural shampoo: andalou

    shaving cream: kiss my face

you can also buy peanut flour in bulk (defatted peanut butter basically) still has fat but it's way less and you can make sauces or peanut butter icecream with it, or homemade peanut teriyaki.

the blue ones are still rare but if many people prefer blue ones manufactures will change,

i also wrote emails to some (ecological) food company's and recommended them to change to the blue ones.

Finding comfy thick pure cotton pants is great. I bought mine from Swandri (in NZ, not sure how available they are elsewhere) and they have a crotch gusset and cut that makes it comfortable to squat ass to grass despite the total lack of elastic. You might also look into raw denim jeans, which are generally pure cotton (but more expensive, though they can last a long time supposedly).

Find a big comfy pure wool sweater. I bought one years ago, it might be expensive but it lasts forever. Watch out because israelites will tell you things are wool only in the fine print to list the textile as "wool blend" or something.

Buy a good pair of leather boots, like red wings or something, which last a long time with care and can be resoled as well as having far fewer synthetic materials. Rose Anvil on youtube is a channel which shows you how they're made by cutting them in half. You can get shoes in a similar fashion. Again, more expensive up front but the costs amortise over time with care.

I haven't found a solution for furniture that isn't made of plastic fibres. I am not committed to sitting on wooden benches in my living room instead of couches yet.

You might also beware of flame moronants that (used to be? Are?) commonly added to children's clothes, furniture etc. which just so happen to be horribly toxic. Plywood also emits gases which are toxic, though I don't know in what quantities or for how long.

Make sure you air out and vacuum your home regularly to reduce dust and gases. You might want to investigate vacuums too because some are worse at just kicking up dust instead of containing it than others.

Imagine being so afraid of the microplastics boogieman you make yourself into a cave hermit who's mere appearance is repulsive. Sorry to tell you but the 'grainite' pans are just teflon painted to look that way. You can unironically cook everything with 3 pieces of cookware: a cast iron (or carbon steel), a stainless steel clad frying pan, and a pot. In the stainlesss, cook anything acidic or anything you want to stick to the pan so you can deglaze a fond and create flavor by deglazing. That means like brown some chicken, remove, add onion and it'll remove that stuck on goodness. Cook everything else in the cast iron as long as it's not acidic like a tomato sauce. Acidic foods will remove the layer of seasoning from the cast iron and it'll get in your food. Just kinda gross and makes for more work.
    The pot is a pot

To my OP and others interested in a glass water bottle. Look no further, this is the one. I've gone through so many water bottles and this thing is just perfect. It was 2 bucks too. 2 bucks anon. That's not a lot of money.
It's got a great wide mouth so i can really guzzle if i wanna. Also makes it piss easy to clean. I can even fit in those stupid big ice cubes from my ice maker. Haven't had another water bottle do that.
It's been almost 6 months now and I don't think I'll ever go back to a homosexual 40 dollar hydrofrick water bottle. I even left the pasta sauce label on so normals know I'm better than them because im not a consooomer. It even came with almost 700ml of free (pretty good) pasta sauce. Ingredients: tomatoes, salt, citric acid. The sauce smell was gone after soaking some dish soap in it overnight.
And it's 700ml anon. That's basically the perfect water bottle size. Not too small, not so big that it's a pain to carry around. I've even dropped the damn thing and it's still going strong. And you know what? If it ever breaks I'm out another 2 bucks and get another 700ml of delicious tomato sauce.

Use cotton, linen or hemp clothing as they are the most natural. Polyester still contains plastic.
for a good natural shampoo. I'm a long hair chad.
Raw eggs as shampoo & conditioner. My hair has never looked better and stronger. I usually wash my hair with it first, keep it on while washing the body and proceed to remove it all.
ditched plastic water bottles and using a stainless steel one. Looking for a good glass one.
Use a Flaska water bottle (glass). Get water from a natural source such as a fountain. Do not drink tap water unless you have a reverse osmosis machine.
Also, stop using fluoride to brush your teeth and the best sunscreen is coconut oil or none at all.
