Because people here do not understand how SF selection works. This is the bare minimum you need to be even considered for selection - given the surplus of candidates, if this is all you can do then you'll probably be passed over for someone fitter unless you have other significant qualities

Thats a fitness test to qualify for the selection process which is the actually hard bit. It's just to make sure the participants are fit enough not to die during it. I assume the same for op.

    >3000m run
Back before I had an injury I managed an 18:00 5k which is roughly equivalent to the minimum requirement here, nowadays no chance
    >100m run in under 12.7 seconds
13 was my best in school, maybe with a bit of training I could get there but rn no chance
    >10x10 shuttle runs in 25 seconds
I'd get injured attempting this lol
    >25 pull ups in one set
My best is 12 but I've never tried extended sets where you rest for a bit and continue. Even still I doubt I'd get close to 25
    >90 push ups in 2 minutes
Depending on how strict they are at assessing form I might be able to do this one
    >90 situps in 2 minutes
    Same as the pushups
    >30 dips no break
Never tried dips because I'm a dyel but they look like harder pushups so maybe? Idk I'm quite light
    >10x bench press at body weight
My PB is 5x at bodyweight so probably not
    >H2H fight with someone bigger
Kek I'd get mogged as a turbo manlet. I wonder how this would work for someone 6'6, do they just keep bringing out guys who are bigger and bigger from a different barrack altogether?

Overall lol no 2/9, maybe I could get to 5 or 6/9 if I trained seriously for it.

Yeah, I guarantee that the whole article is an absolute asspull, the standards are absolutely ridiculous
As for the h2h, I recall watching a documentary on GRU Spetsnaz selection and it did indeed take place, but it looked more like kickboxing sparring against the drill instructor where the candidate didn't have to win as much as not get his ass completely handed to him. Though to be fair, it did take place right after a long distance cross-country run

    >100m
There's...a chance. Haven't done sprints since I had 40 lbs of extra fat on me and I got like 13.5 seconds then, so probably yeah.
    >Shuttle Runs
No clue. I never did these so I'll say it's a coin toss.
    >Pull Ups
I've done 30 more than once in the last month, so yes.
    >Push Ups
HAHAHAHAHA no. I'd struggle to do 65-70.
    >Sit Ups
    Easily.
    >Dips
Nope nope nope. 20 max on a good day.
    >Bench
As it happens I'm typing this in between sets. I just did this 3 times. (Inb4 "Phoneposter!" Sue me.)

Yes on all except the 3000m run. Don't know what 10x10 suicides are though. And I definitely do not have a body for spec ops.

This particular fitness test is absolutely moronic though, as it puts too much emphasis on strength.
3000m in 10,5 minutes makes more sense, but they'd get the right candidates by going for 12 or 12,5 minutes too.

have a standard that high when one can only train their sprint up to a certain point due to genetics.
    >90 pushups 2 minutes
Not crazy, but most people won't hit that. I'd max my pushups at like 75 when I was 23.
    >10 reps bodyweight bench
    Very doable
