Am I a weirdo for not doing all this shit? Literally all I do is eat random shit that has lots of protein, I make sure that it's roughly above 100g daily but I don't tracknor seriously count shit and yet I'm still making gains.
My main food intake is egg sandwiches, skyr, thuna salad, protein shakes as well as some fast food here and there. I really don't see the point in breaking your head over all this unless you're a body builder which I'm not, I just want to gain muscle.

      Other way around. Your diet will change your body fat. Your training will change your muscle size. But in reality bodyfat is more important to lose than gaining muscle is.

    well there you go. There's no reason why you would min/max your diet like a bodybuilder if you're not one. That being said, this kind of autism becomes more relevant after a few years of lifting when you're trying to figure out why you're stalling etc. You start looking for low hanging fruit and tightening up your diet is the easiest one.

    Lmfao this right here. Backw hen I was a teenager I fell for all those fad diets and bullshit weight loss hacks. Now I just eat whatever I want (of course not as much junk food), a sustainable amount of calories, and some exercise and im losing a good amount of weight. Dont feel like I'm starving anymore now also.
