Because if you follow that path long enough, you wake up and realize that you destroyed your own life. What would you rather be doing at 70? Hanging with your grandkids, or trying to shut out the soul crushing reality that you threw away the one life you had for short term dopamine hits?

        >my last gf cheated on me and it was during the time I was the cleanest in my life
And? That justifies smoking weed and jerking it to titty streamers every day how? It's shitty that happened to you but you can't let it become a justification for behavior that will make you even more miserable in the long run. You do you man, but I'm not lying to you when I say that path leads to unbelievable misery if you can't moderate it.

          Anonymous

my point was I don't think weed is the reason I'm gonna end up childless at 70
          >that path leads to unbelievable misery if you can't moderate it.
in what way? not saying you're wrong

            >in what way?
That's a hard one to answer, your misery will manifest in a way unique to you. For me, it was the realization that I had spent the previous five years fantasizing about life instead of living it. The internet allowed me access to women more beautiful than any I'd even seen in real life and weed allowed me to escape into fantasy with them. But the mirage fades. Reality hits you in the face like a fricking train. While my friends were out enjoying their 20s, I was in my head with women who didn't exist. Clearly weed isn't my only or even primary issue but it enabled and compounded all my problems and blinded me to what I was doing to myself until it was almost too late.

Yeah but you can vape it almost anywhere and you won't smell like smoke. Makes it easier when you live in an apartment or something. That makes it more dangerous though, since you can smoke it anywhere any time that you don't have anything to do it can end up being the only thing you do.

do you guys allow yourself to have any vices at all? in about a week I'm gonna be 1 year alcohol free. I also smoked ciggies on and off but I quit them a couple months ago. weed was my only vice left. is it even possible to live completely sober? and out of all the vices I feel like weed is the least destructive. idk maybe I'm just trying to find approval. I went through breaks before and I never really felt any different at the end of the day

I used to smoke weed, do roids and drink most nights about 2 years ago. Now I just chew tobacco and drink once every 2 or so weeks and only when I'm with friends who are drinking. Quitting tobacco, trying to taper down so might have about 10 days left of it. I probably won't quit drinking, but I think 2 or 3x a month is a very reasonable amount and I don't get the urge to drink by myself anymore. I do feel kinda crappy that it's been so tough for me to quit chewing, so that's why I'm cutting it out. It'll be the first time since I turned 21 that I've not had some sort of drug or alcohol for a period of longer than 2 days.
      >also doing noporn now, and I only really feel like jerking it when I watch porn, so pretty much doing nofap too

I'll probably have some sort of vice again, eventually. Maybe I can get away with keeping clean though. I have an addictive personality

Weed is fine. The anti degeneracy crowd are blackpilled losers with nothing to offer and regurgitate the same “just lift” cope that they think is the answer to all their autistic problems
They’re on par with the loud mouthed stoners that have to shoehorn weed into every conversation
You’re not feeling different when you quit? Then it’s not a life controlling addiction you have.
Don’t overthink it. Smoke your weed and ignore what the anti degenerate police have to say (despite them jacking their meat to porn 3 times a day)

        Anonymous

You are just lying to yourself if you think anyone who wants to quit weed does so because it is "degenerate." Yes it's not as bad as other drugs but if you are someone who wants to live as healthy possible a lifestyle as you can then it's clearly better to not have a daily weed habit then to have one.

          Anonymous

The anti degenerates are usually the ones who have quit, pat themselves on the back and got huge ego boosts as a result. It’s the same shit with ex smokers.
Modern medicine can’t even work out what the healthiest lifestyle is. Who is wanting to live this poster image of the healthiest lifestyle?
Please, no one is going to be that much of a square. Overthinking this shit is half the problem.
My granddad smoked tobacco till the day he died at 103. Dads 83 and started when he was 8. You’ll find a lot of old people with “unhealthy” habits.
If wanting to live “the healthiest lifestyle” is the main reason then it’s literally lame.
The people who’ve been smoking dope they’re whole life are summed up by this guy

          >bought 1/8 oz in September
          >Still haven't smoked it all
Can't relate. I love weed but I just don't crave it so much.

Let time take its course. If you’re still a lazy pothead at 50 then it’s over. Not implying by that age you should’ve had a family and grandkids but by that stage you couldn’t give a rats ass if you didn’t smoke but you’re not turning down a joint on a Friday/Saturday night or having one with your son

How are you calling anyone else blackpilled you moron? It is pretty obvious for anyone with a little bit of common sense what a healthy lifestyle entails. Eating a clean diet, exercising and being active daily, getting enough sleep, being social and doing activities. If weed impedes those things for an individual because it is used too much then it is obviously not good. The fact that some people who quit act sanctimonious about it and that someone do not have a proclivity to smoke all day everyday means frick all. Some things are problems for some people and not for others.

I have relapsed twice after trying to quit twice since covid. The hardest part for me is long-term when you start to lose your motivation for quitting that you have early on and begin to forget why you quit. Then you start having rose tinted goggles of what life was like when you smoked. I think this time I am done for good though because it gives me panic attacks now when it didn't use to.
