put your ego aside and lower the weight a little if you're relying on your fricking spine to lift it

Black person, in what world? What, are you leaning back and cheating your reps? Post form or frick off. A thread died for this.

I get this too op, and worse in the low weight high rep range.
Wear a belt whenever you OHP and manage the pain; all you really can do.

Sadly, there is some truth in this. Should I give up on OHP? It's my favorite lift but I'm only 25 and don't want my lower back to be completly fricked up by the age of 40.

You can do it while sitting, especially with dumbbells.

So I have to choose between aesthetic delts or not having chronic lower back pain?

Or you could just be patient and use the proper weight for your current strength levels.

How much do you deadlift? How much do you squat? Your mid section should be stronger...

Let me guess, you tried to mimic Olympic OHP frauds that basically bend backwards to the point that the OHP is actually a bench press?

    >back pain from ohp
Black person i did 3x8x185 and after 5 years of doing it religiously 2x/wk I've literally never had a problem with my back
Even when i got 245 from pushpress above my head it had 0 negative effect
How the frick is it even posssible to get lower back pain up unless you're doing some extreme bending at the pressing like those 70s athletes
Does your back break in half when you try to pick up your keys or something from the floor?
