He admitted it in 2016, but he was clearly on it long before that, and whichever way you want to try to rationalise it, test is a steroid, which makes Scoobert a lying fake natty.

When did he actually start taking T? Because if you've seen the pics of his physique he took over the years on his site, he looked a hell of a lot buffer going into his 40's and into his 50's than he ever did in his earlier decades.

Prior to 2001, he never had that "blown up" bodybuilder physique. He looked muscular like he went to the gym, but not the sort of scooby we see making videos, focused on his ginourmous pecs.

                >taking T to maintain what he already had
That's such a crock of shit. Exogenous test gives you a HUGE advantage when it comes to putting on muscle. He didn't put on ANY muscle while blasting test? He just maintained what he had?

He looked his buffest between the ages of 45 and 50. Why does it have to be cheating that he kept increasing his size until he naturally lost T?

Do you seriously believe he only started losing T in his 50s? Give your head a wobble.

I think hes a pretty honest guy and to me it doesn't matter even if he did. His physique was always impressive and he helped a lot of people with his honest health and fitness advice. I dont see how taking T later in life effects any of that

                Anonymous

Do we know when he actually started taking trt? As I said, based on his pics, he started blowing up around 2001. Like, his physique got noticeably more massive, whereas prior to that it just looks like he was just steadily progressing, and then all of a sudden he's got all this mass.

I'm guessing around 40 is when he started getting the juice.

                >Why does it have to be cheating that he kept increasing his size until he naturally lost T?

When you don't mention in advance to the market that you're catering your fitness advice to that: "I take a performance enhancing drug, results I give may vary", it makes you look dishonest.

He very well could have. Until his video where he finally talked about himself being on trt, he was very vague and ambiguous about the whole topic.

I'm not discounting his advice or inspiration, just that it's a bit dishonest to not reveal that you're using a drug that gives you an advantage.

Every time he was asked about it. Scoobert can't ignore comments on his videos, especially the ones who said he was on gear.
                Ultimately they were proven right.
Then there's shit like this that he posted himself on his website.
                >"If it comforts people to think that I got big and ripped by using steroids rather than 30+ years of lifting 5 days a week, that is fine by me. People often have these crazy expectations for bodybuilding and when they fail to get the body “they deserve“, then they just naturally assume that anyone who has gotten that physique has somehow cheated. Again, whatever comforts them is fine with me. I still consider it the ultimate compliment when someone asks if I use steroids"
He always completely avoided the question rather than giving a simple yes or no. He thinks his viewers are stupid and can't put 2 and 2 together.
Scooby isn't natty and hasn't been since before the towers got dropped.

i'm not the guy you're replying to, but as far as i can see you're the only one talking about cheating. i don't consider steroid use cheating or immoral. the problem, as it always with when it comes to steroids, is disclosure. to outright lie is bad, to dodge or ignore is somewhat bad.

scooby obviously didn't want to give idiots a way of dismissing his advice and shitting on his achievements. he wanted the emphasis to be on slow progress which normal natties can do. i don't blame him as he always wanted to give people tempered expectations.

Actually, that 5 year gap might have been when he started using trt. He looked like a weightlifter prior to 96 for all those decades/years. Then 2001 rolls around and suddenly he looks like a beefy bodybuilder.

He was 35 in 96. What are the odds someone takes TRT at 35 or even 40? And even if he was what are the odds someone can be taking it for decades?

A 35-40 year old could easily have signs of low test as they age, especially when they consume very little saturated and cholesterol (typical bodybuilder/roid junkie diet).

People get on test at pretty much any adult age, doesn't have to be when you're 55 and can't get your wiener hard anymore.

Its probably the only exercise I hear about people injuring themselves on consistently. Also, your lower back should be conditioned to be strong but flexible, your lower spine should never in anyway be compressed or stressed heavily. you can just do back extensions with a vest or holding plates, the easier it becomes just use heavier plates. This way you can actually do a heavy back day and crank out lat pull downs/backs etc without having to do some turboshitter deadlift routine that takes up the entire thing, do the extensions at the end when you're kacked and it actually a good final exercise

I like deadlifts because they are practical. I often have to pick heavy things up from the floor and having the cues and confidence to do it safely is really nice.

Also my hamstrings were very underdeveloped relative to my quads. When I seriously started deadlifting, my cycling got better, my running got better, and my knee pain went away and I think it's mostly to do with hamstring strength.

Also I think it's really really cool to pick heavy shit up. There's something fun about being able to pick up 400+lbs with my bare fricking hands.

I just wish I had started deadlifting earlier. I went from a 275 dead to 405lbs in less than 5 months because I had never trained it with any intensity or consistency.

It's a great exercise but not everyone can deadlift. this unfortunately means the typical trainee misses out on some deadlift benefits. the best variation would be the hex bar deadlift.

the reason is that the hex bar distributes the weight more in line with the body's natural center of gravity thus removing the stress from the lower back. By doing this, the lower back is no longer the weak link when deadlifting.

I've said it before and I'll say it again
The trap bar "deadlift" is exactly the same as a quarter squat, which means that it doesn't train the back as well as a deadlift

Idk why it has to be two extremes. I started focusing on them before I even did squats and my glutes woke up. Gradually leading up to now and I'm pretty good at sprinting again like when I was a kid always being outside. Huge benefit just from one movement.

I hit my goal of 4 plates and I started squatting as well, so I DL less. I do want to maintain and improve on what it benefitted so I keep doing them. Eventually with overall gains I will go for a max again and expect 5 plates. = Stronger sprint.
I like it for that explosive reason only, and yeah there's other things for that like power cleans, but you see even less people doing those.
