did you see him walk off at the end? lmfao little hunchback gnome is gonna have back issues in his early 30's just because he's desperately trying to feel 'masculine' in the only way he possibly can given his shit hand in life.

Sumo, that's as good as a 0kg deadlift.

then why does every bodybuilder on the planet deadlift
if your goal is to deadlift a certain number instead of to get hamstring, back and glute hypertrophy then you probably will look like shit but that doesn’t mean the exercise is bad.
the best benchers in the world also look like shit, that doesn’t mean “bench does nothing for hypertrophy”

      >then why does every bodybuilder on the planet deadlift
None of them do. Ronnie Coleman is like the sole exception and that's because he was a freak who simultaneously would powerlift and bodybuild. Keyword POWERLIFT, if you're not powerlifting it's entirely pointless.

Nothing hits the erectors like 3x8 @ 70-75%

Chris Bumstead just won the olympia and he does deadlifts so you're wrong

What? There are powerbuilding programs that some athletes and lay people do.

Just off the top of my head I could name 5 top tier bodybuilders that I’ve seen recommend deadlifts in interviews. How many bodybuilders can you name that say deadlifts are useless for hypertrophy?

They all started as strongmen or powerlifters. The best athletes all do. What do you think builds more muscle? Curling 10kg x 8 or Curling 30kg x 8?

          >They all started as strongmen or powerlifters
No. Chris Bumstead has always lifted weights for bodybuilding and sports in highschool. He never did powershitting.

Chris Bumstead never was a powerlifter lmao. He is extremely strong for a bodybuilder tho.

Why would you curl 10 kg if you can curl 30 for the same number of reps? What a moronic comparison.

        >ye bro only some of the best bodybuilders who ever lived and achieved the most in the sport deadlift, totally a useless exercise bro
Arnold promoted deadlifting heavy, as you said Ronnie Colemand, the best bodybuilder who ever lived, promoted deadlifting (he never injured himself on it, it was the moronic half squat he did while being recovering from an injury), Chris Bumstead promotes deadlifting, Franco Columbo promoted deadlifting... essentially every top 0.01% bodybuilder who ever lived promotes deadlifting. Only exception being Steve Reeves who promoted Olympic lifting instead of static movements like the deadlift.

Watched the 30 second clip and it seems pretty clear this guy has a disability. Therefore the important question is, what would he look like without deadlifts?

That guy has insanely long arms and does sumo, he essentially did an above the knee rackpull. Wouldn't surprise me if he got there after only a month or two of lifting with this genetic baseline.

    >bodyweight
    means nothing
you gotta eat big to get big, meanwhile the best way to increase your lifts by proportion to bodyweight is to get as small as possible because it's a mathematical fact that muscle is more efficient pound for pound the less you have. It's an absolutely useless metric that means nothing to either nonmanlet lifters or random people.
