If you don't already do oil-pulling, you should throw that into the mix too. Salt rinses can help eliminate bacteria that cause bad breath too.

scrape your tongue every time you brush your teeth. especially if you breathe through your mouth. your tongue is basically a big sponge for bacteria and usually the source of your bad breath

When I brush my teeth I rub / brush my tongue with the toothpaste / toothbrush, does that do the job well enough?

Lol no. Get a tongue scraper or a toothbrush with one included.

    >keep hydrated dry mouth facilitates the growth of bacteria
    >brush AND floss, bacteria is underneath your gums
    >brush your tongue or get a toungue scraper
    >gargle warm water to loosen any tonsil stones
    >breathmints or gum after a meal if you're out
    >use non alchoholic mouth wash to avoid drying out your mouth
    >go to dentist once or twice a year to get plaque cleaned off your teeth
    >get any cavities filled as they make your mouth stink of rot
    >use tooth paste with stannous floride
    >avoid eating or drinking 30 mins after using floride so it actually gets absorbed or whatever
    >avoid obvious foods like garlic, onions, dairy, fish
    >do not over brush or use too much pressure when brushing

oh also avoid eating food high in gluten or drinking anything acidic. bready stuff/starchy stuff is going to stick to your teeth. Stuff higher in fiber is going to not stick to your teeth. Salt is also bad for your teeth as it breaks down the enamel/softens your teeth. if you eat salty foods or drink anything acidic wait a while before brushing your teeth maybe rinse your mouth as well with water. There are foods you may not think are acidic but are like coffee.

It's a cavity bro. Get it fixed or it will only get worse and possibly spread to other teeth.

DO NOT DRINK ENERGY DRINKS!!!!!!!! Fricked my teeth up. Citric acid is usually #2 ingredient.

CAN YOU IMAGINE DRINKING PURE ACID???
That's literally what it is with a little bit of bullshit and some synthetic caffeine.

There are some with less citric acid, but still generally very acidic. Take energy/caffeine pills if you have to.

a lot of foods are slightly acidic or basic
this doesnt really effect our teeth unless you keep it in your mouth for ages, saliva is pretty good at keeping the mouth at a stable ph

Energy drinks are not just slightly acidic. They're half acid. The other half being carbonated water (Which I think also makes carbonic acid?), and negligible other things like flavors and caffeine.

Drinking it is like giving yourself a mouthwash of acid. Every sip, it lingers some. You drink it not all in one go, but over, say an hour. An hour that your saliva cannot help rebuild things.

Literally just brush and floss your teeth. If you have bad breath that keeps coming back frequently then you probably have cavities from not taking care of your teeth. Get that shit fixed and start taking better care of them before you end up with meth mouth.

If you take good enough care of your teeth you literally will not get bad breath.
There is noting that turns a clean person off faster than smelling tooth decay on somebody's breath.

Not a shill, but I highly recommend active coal based toothpaste for bad breath, it also gives a shit taste to anything sugar based in your mouth for several hours.

Never heard the sugar taste effect, pretty neat. I know that it makes your teeth whiter faster, but doesn’t charcoal toothpaste damage enamel pretty badly? Afaik it’s best short term if you have nasty yellow teeth, bad long term, but I could be wrong.

I went to dentist for the first time in 8 years after seeing one of these threads the other day and by the grace of Allah (praise be upon Him) I didn't have a single fricking cavity. The dentist did say my gums were weak as shit probably because I hate flossing, but I lucked out boys.

Lots of obvious do's but I haven't seen a big one yet: drink and swish water regularly when eating and drinking. This will help rinse food/sugars/acids/staining materials and you should be drinking more water anyways. This is how I've maintained my teeth to where people regularly comment several times yearly on how white my teeth are after using half a box of whitening strips over 10 years ago. Honestly, this habit and just making sure you brush 2x daily and floss at night, and not eating shit tons of candy or smoking is all you need to maintain ez mode. Oh, and see a dentist 2x a year for cleanings.

I've had shitty teeth because my teenage self didn't give a frick. What I noticed helped was upping my calcium intake, taking vitamin D2 and K2 MK4 and using elmex gelee. Also only drink water because drinking 10L of soda a day will outweigh your mineralization gains from said routine.

For any anons out there who's breath always seems to be putrid even though they brush their teeth, you probably have tonsil stones. To check for them, turn the torch on on your phone and check around your tonsils. Your tonsils are really wrinkly and will have loads of stones that aren't immediately visible caught in folds/behind your tonsils etc. Fill a syringe and blast your tonsils to get them out. You can poke around your tonsils with a wet cotton swab in order to make stones more visible. WARNING: Do not smell the stones, they literally smell like rotting fermented flesh. Also try not to swallow them as I'm pretty sure they can be bad for you.

I cough these ducking things up all the time and can often feel them back there in the days/ hours leading up to retching them out. But I can’t ever physically see them, I’ve tried to get them out manually like you suggested but just gag. Considering getting tonsils removed tbh. I think that fixes it.

Have you tried actually pushing around your tonsils with a cotton swab? At any given time if I haven't checked in like the past week, I will not have any immediately visible ones but if I push around with a swab (I mean literally maneouver my tonsils around) and go behind them etc I can always find small ones atleast.
