All of these damage the doorframe. You'd lose your security deposit if you rented from me or anyone who actually inspected the place at the end of your lease.
Buy some goddamn 2x4s and a pipe, you make this in the backyard and cause zero damage. Only a moron would do pullups from a door frame.
>oh no my flimsy doorframe
how about you maintain your doorframes to code you cheap frick? imagine that, there do exist limits to a new coat of paint and varnish
>Renting >Thinks people will have backyards
You are moronic, clearly from race mixing.
Also learn how2scam landlords (you are american, so don't reply to me).
I bought one of these el cheapos and the gauge of the metal used is so thin that it droops and flexes under your weight. It's not gonna last frequent use, if you don't buy the nicer stuff. The biggest problem is that you might find that it's incompatible with most of your doors--- that's what happened to me. It sounds strange but if your house has dropped soffits running around the periphery of the ceiling for HVAC, or you have double doors or doors with unusual obstructions on the sides, it might not work
there's different versions too, so you can pick if you prefer parallel bars or single bar or a taller version if you don't like doing L sit pull ups.
My only complaint is that it's not tall enough to do non-LSIT pull ups and attaching rings is not very helpful because the height is so low for my version.
Their may be better versions out there and/or cheaper but this one has been great
Been thinking about getting this set https://www.baseblocks.fit/products/full-body-baseblocks-starter
b-bars for dips, l pull ups, and the base bench for nordic curls and dragon flags. shit seems expensive, but I'm a moron who can't make anything well and tired of the gym after going consistently for years.
I grip it with my palms. I think you misunderstood me. I'm using the door. I'm doing it on a door, not the doorframe, my bad. It's still way harder than regular pull ups on a bar but it builds your grip strength.
this machine from marcy sucks, just look at their stupid flys at 02:40 https://youtu.be/IsvRRrtXg7Y
these machines would be great if their press and flys actually worked, but all of them suck for these 2 exercises.

yea idk brands but whatever version I used at the gym, it was great for back flies/chest flies and it's hard to get that exact feeling with free weights
ah ok. that makes more sense. you already have flies. I wish I had room for something like that. It's fricking GOAT and the only machine I really want
yea idk brands but whatever version I used at the gym, it was great for back flies/chest flies and it's hard to get that exact feeling with free weights
is it good? I'm waiting for mine to arrive.
yours is way bigger than mine tho.
because benching is overrated anyway, just raise the bar a little and press off the floor, less risk, less strain on your rotator cuffs and shoulders, and absolutely nothing will go wrong no matter how hard you ego lift because the bar won't hit you if you're using bumpers at least.
I like the Rude Goldberg suicide setup there, anon.
I keep on thinking nothing on here will surprise me anymore but this picture just comes off as extremely odd
The bar being this close to the wine bottles already teetering on the edge is a recipe for disaster
it's like something out of a PSA
>Finally hit PR of lmao.5plate >Tip chair over with re-rack because somehow managed to frick up the width so the plates can't sit all of the way on the bar >Weight falls off and bar catapults into wine bottle collection >Jump up to save the wine but cut toe on inexplicable knife on floor >Flail in knee-jerk reaction and knock alarm clock into bowl of water >Trip over overstretched extension lead and fall face first into bowl of electrified water >Post mortem rules bizarre death "solo sex games gone wrong"
My doorframe is the cheapest shit. I tried to put one in, didnt even lock it fully and I could hear the wood creak and deform (With no weight on it). I tried hanging from the top with my fingers, to test if an overhang one would be fine, and I could also feel the wood giving way under my fingers, my feet didnt even leave the ground
These are better
They still wreck your doorframe just not as much
Plus then you need a place to store them
as opposed to a straight, metal bar that you need to constantly duck under as you walk by. i have plenty of corners to stick that thing in.
All of these damage the doorframe. You'd lose your security deposit if you rented from me or anyone who actually inspected the place at the end of your lease.

>the backyard
La dee da look at me mr millionaire
>landlord
>buys cheap doorframes
checks out
Nah cause I tell the landwagie that I’ll terrorize him and his family if he doesn’t give me my money back.
>oh no my flimsy doorframe

How fricking weak are your doorframes?

What is wear and tear for 500.
No deductions for valid wear and tear where I am from.
>You'd lose your security deposit if you rented from me
How much do you think a doorfram costs, bro?
shut your fricking mouth you parasite
This. You can also do nordic curls, push ups, l-sits, etc. Only costs around 10 bucks too
ripped the to off of my frame.

These still rip the top part of the frame and leave a black mark on the outside of the door because of the foam.
>*solves your problem*
>*unlocks your gains*
This thing started to crack my doorframe after ~2 years of using it
I don't care, it's my house
anybody know what the best affordable pullup/dip bar is? i think im gonna buy one of these and be done with the gym forever
Yes, it's
+ a set of dip rings
i dont frick with the doorframe pullup bars. just feels gay doing pullups that way
>doing pullups in a way that makes you do pullups
>feels gay
Anon, get out of the closet.
cope and seeth doorframe pullup guy
I’m not gay so I use the actual frame itself as my pullup bar
Gym rings enable pullups and dips and are much safer
baseblocks have been great for me

oh and also I'll point out that the bar is pretty thick so Pull ups and dips are harder/forearm gainz

If you're in the UK this is the most solid portable option you can get
https://hotgym.co.uk/index.html
Just go to the local park shirtless and use the monkey bars and get mires from the moms and daughters
I'm doing pulls ups ON the doorframe. Had no problems.
hows your fingers
I grip it with my palms. I think you misunderstood me. I'm using the door. I'm doing it on a door, not the doorframe, my bad. It's still way harder than regular pull ups on a bar but it builds your grip strength.
bros will this work my chest?
Obviously? Depends on how much weight you can stack on that though.
guy in the other thread said it will only work midsection I'm worried now.
He's right tho it only works midsection, the chest is not activated at all with this exercise
who is the safe wolf
I don't know but this is sold on aliexpress
I just bought picrel, I'll put it in my home gym.
Idk i find that kinda pointless. you're just pressing still, it's not really a fly because the way it is pulling.
even if it's only pressing is ok, as long as it works the chest.
I'll connect it to this.
ah ok. that makes more sense. you already have flies. I wish I had room for something like that. It's fricking GOAT and the only machine I really want

the GOAT machine
idc what anyone says, pec deck torches my chest far better than the BP ever could. Even more than Pullovers.
is it good? I'm waiting for mine to arrive.
yours is way bigger than mine tho.
>All that mechanical advantage given by the pulleys
>tfw your shoulders are too wide to do pull ups in the doorframe.
Why dont people just make a bench themselves? You can use anything like chairs or just use wood to build a rack
because benching is overrated anyway, just raise the bar a little and press off the floor, less risk, less strain on your rotator cuffs and shoulders, and absolutely nothing will go wrong no matter how hard you ego lift because the bar won't hit you if you're using bumpers at least.
cause it looks highly autistic
oops wrong way
Found the Australian.
idk whats going on man im trying to upload them normally
Looks normal to me..?
You need to crop the picture before you upload
Based bat chad
lmao i guess it looks sturdy but I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to building shit
i hope it's stable, it's not worth getting fricked

This is how characters in Final Destination keep their stuff
Will this work on concrete doorframe?
u trust that shit homie?
Idk
Bretty pased
Have been using those for 3 years and still no damage to the doorframe.
>not my problem
how short are you guys that you can do a pullup on a doorframe.

It’s called bending your legs
Use a tree wtf
>does extremely minor damage to my landlord’s doorframe
Definitely worthy of its own thread
imagine not being the lord of your own land
