as opposed to a straight, metal bar that you need to constantly duck under as you walk by. i have plenty of corners to stick that thing in.

      >*solves your problem*

All of these damage the doorframe. You'd lose your security deposit if you rented from me or anyone who actually inspected the place at the end of your lease.
Buy some goddamn 2x4s and a pipe, you make this in the backyard and cause zero damage. Only a moron would do pullups from a door frame.

ripped the to off of my frame.

I bought one of these el cheapos and the gauge of the metal used is so thin that it droops and flexes under your weight. It's not gonna last frequent use, if you don't buy the nicer stuff. The biggest problem is that you might find that it's incompatible with most of your doors--- that's what happened to me. It sounds strange but if your house has dropped soffits running around the periphery of the ceiling for HVAC, or you have double doors or doors with unusual obstructions on the sides, it might not work

      >*solves your problem*

These still rip the top part of the frame and leave a black mark on the outside of the door because of the foam.

baseblocks have been great for me

      https://www.baseblocks.fit/pages/basebar-pro

there's different versions too, so you can pick if you prefer parallel bars or single bar or a taller version if you don't like doing L sit pull ups.

My only complaint is that it's not tall enough to do non-LSIT pull ups and attaching rings is not very helpful because the height is so low for my version.

Their may be better versions out there and/or cheaper but this one has been great

oh and also I'll point out that the bar is pretty thick so Pull ups and dips are harder/forearm gainz

Been thinking about getting this set https://www.baseblocks.fit/products/full-body-baseblocks-starter

b-bars for dips, l pull ups, and the base bench for nordic curls and dragon flags. shit seems expensive, but I'm a moron who can't make anything well and tired of the gym after going consistently for years.

I grip it with my palms. I think you misunderstood me. I'm using the door. I'm doing it on a door, not the doorframe, my bad. It's still way harder than regular pull ups on a bar but it builds your grip strength.

Idk i find that kinda pointless. you're just pressing still, it's not really a fly because the way it is pulling.

even if it's only pressing is ok, as long as it works the chest.

this machine from marcy sucks, just look at their stupid flys at 02:40 https://youtu.be/IsvRRrtXg7Y

these machines would be great if their press and flys actually worked, but all of them suck for these 2 exercises.

Why dont people just make a bench themselves? You can use anything like chairs or just use wood to build a rack

      Anonymous

because benching is overrated anyway, just raise the bar a little and press off the floor, less risk, less strain on your rotator cuffs and shoulders, and absolutely nothing will go wrong no matter how hard you ego lift because the bar won't hit you if you're using bumpers at least.

My doorframe is the cheapest shit. I tried to put one in, didnt even lock it fully and I could hear the wood creak and deform (With no weight on it). I tried hanging from the top with my fingers, to test if an overhang one would be fine, and I could also feel the wood giving way under my fingers, my feet didnt even leave the ground
