I’m 42 and I threw up 300 on bench this week. Left shoulder is a little tweaked but nothing I can’t work through. And tbh I think my shoulder issue stems from something being out in my neck.

Peculiar how fit think any and all exercises that you have to do ruin you either default or if you sway even a millimeter from absolute perfection in form for even a second, which everyone will do.
Use a Smith machine then. It's the best way to do any lifting. Unironically.
I switched to incline bench only and my shoulder joint has stopped hurting
I stopped doing flat as I wasn’t enjoying it much anymore. Now I do decline bench and incline db’s. Should I throw in some flat as a finisher?
I feel more pain in my elbows after doing a dozen chin-ups, I feel nothing after doing 5x5 bench or dumbbell press.
