    Vegans are slightly wrong in that you can incorporate some meat (especially lean cuts that are low in saturated fat). Just dont eat as much meat as the average American and keep your cholesterol low .
    Grains and vegetables are life extending foods and are essential for healthmaxxing so carnivores are completely wrong.

      Neither. Eating a varied omnivorous diet is best. Eat whole foods with appropriate macros. I.e. Bacon bad, lamb chops good. Cream sauce pasta bad, marinara with handmade meatballs good.
      Get an appropriate amount of protein (.8 g / lb) and fill in the rest with foods rich in micronutrients.

        Not really, you should seek incorporate foods that have actually been proven to have health effects like oats for lowering cholesterol or dark chocolate lowering blood pressure of heart patients or coffee reducing all causes by 16%, as well as making sure it is complete in mirco nutrients. A sample diet might look something like:

        >2 cups of unsweetened almond milk

    Heart disease is not caused by meat. not saying im a fan but watch the anti vegan documentary svierge.

    Grains contain
    -little to no nutrition
    -gluten (increases gut permeability worsens neurological disease.)
    -opiates -(with weak BBB causes brain damage)

    leaves / plants like spinach contain phytic acid which demineralizes your bones and similar to wheat pulls minerals and metals out of your body and binds to them to be excreted and wasted.

      There is no evidence that gluten is bad for you. An incredibly small number of people are actually gluten intolerant, and they know because they have constant diarrhea.
      Grains are far more protein dense than rice and contain essential micronutrients and fibre.

    Health maxxing both are wrong.
    Longer life tending more to vegan would be better (lower IGF-1) basically you have a continuum.
    On one end maximum gains maximum robustness maximum energy and performance. Live fast die young.
    The other end maximum preservation, slowing everything down, maximum energy conservation.
    Best off somewhere in the middle.
    Some longevity “experts” eat a calorie deficit forever, end up seeming slow and frail and tired, look older due to very low body fat, but they might live a few more years.
    Some bodybuilders pump hgh and steroids, seem very robust and strong and energetic then end up with problems.
    There is a very wide middle ground.
    There’s a lot of supplements and therapies now days that let you have both, but if standard food is the only variable that’s the options.

    Anon, you can pretty much eat anything but I would stay away from seed oils and grains, specifically overly processed grains.

    The fat within seed oils is bad for you and grains are high in calories but provide little to no nutritional value. I recommend replacing most of your grains with legumes.
