Eating the carbs in isolation will first fully replenish all your glycogen, then upregulate thermogenesis and metabolism significantly and eventually a small amount will begin to go through de novo lipogenesis to be stored as saturated fat. It's almost impossible to gain weight eating HCLF whole foods.

Modern foods make you fat. Traditional people had no concept of a calorie or a "carb" they just ate their ancestral foods and stayed lean without trying. That's the gigabrain take, not your silly reddit pseudo science. If you need to meticulously track your diet and count calories a midwit might consider than normal but someone a bit smarter might realise that there is something wrong and unnatural about such a diet that messes with hormones and regulation to such an extent that you need an app to not get fat.
The more recently a food group was introduced, the less healthy it is. The most healthy food groups existed 100,000+ years ago, less healthy but ok are post agricultural age food groups. Post global exploration and selective breeding foods like potatoes are less healthy still and the worst are 20th century foods like cash crops, vegetable oils, chemical sweeteners etc.
