          Why is it? I want to get stronger. If I cut now, I would look awful. At least when I cut in July I might look somewhat okay. Then another bulk and cut before summer 2024 and I might actually have a good enough physique.

                I was making no progress when I was eating at maintenance calories. Most of my progress came in the last 3 months. I was basically going nowhere before that.

                In this pic I was 6kg lighter at the start of it. Have I gained any muscle? I gained weight way too fast because I didn't know what I was doing but now i'm only gaining 1kg per month.

                Am I really too fat for a bulk? Last time I posted the before pic ITT, people told me to start eating. Now apparently i'm too fat being 6kg heavier.
                I plan to bulk 4 more kgs btw but i'll be smarter about it and try to squeeze more muscle than fat out of them.

                I will be lean and mean after my cut. Nobody looks their best when bulking. And it's not like 2 or 3 test cycles would turn me into Ronnie Coleman, certainly not one.

                No, I meant that I had the armpit thing when I was at 68kg.
                I didn't lift until I was 77kg. I stayed at 77kg for a year (lifting) and I made basically no progress. I bulked around 6kg since December and most of my lifting progress came in that time. So basically so far I have bulked 6kg in my first bulk.
                I gained 3kg in like a month and I stopped stuffing my face so now I gain about 1kg a month.

                6kg in 3 months is way too fast; that's why you seem fatter with little progress.
                Unfortunately you used bulking as an excuse to stuff your face. It happens; now the next problem.
                You probably only gained 0.5kg of muscle if even that. So you have to decide to continue your bulk to gain a little more muscle. You'll end up a little fatter than you'd like but at least these past few months won't be a completely waste your time or cut now and be back where you started.

                i know I did. I put on the first 3kg in like a month. I've been slowly gaining weight since then.
                How much more do you think I should bulk? I want to gain another 4kgs by July and cut then until September before I start bulking again. Is this reasonable?

                Also I didn't really stuff my face much. I just added more peanut butter into my protein shake than I should've.

      If you’re gonna take progress pics, you should do it in the same place with the same lighting, distance from the camera, etc. have you gotten stronger? Trying my best to account for the differences between the pictures it looks like your forearms and biceps have seen some growth

      How long have you been bulking? You said you gained weight too fast but 1kg a month is a ideal. You went from 68kg to 83kg, that's 15kg; please tell me you've been bulking for a year. If so you should have done a mini cut after 6 months.

    Every human has muscle. Yours could be covered by fat, or not large enough to see at that bodyfat.

    just lift.
    Do a lean bulk and cut when you feel too fat/cardio gets too bad.
