Ya I'm not an Olympic or power lifter so it works fine and it's cheap.

From my experience, there's no food sold or given away in the gym.

I go to a PF, yeah. I'm only interested in cardio and they have lots of different machines so it works for me.

It was real, but they stopped doing that when they reopened from Covid.

can you recommend a routine that can be done with the equipment they have available?

do they still not have free weights?

One near my parents only has Smith machines. But they had barbells up to 100 lbs which is antithetical to their lunk system. The gym is split into 3 sections: cardio, weightlifting, and abs. Now for abs, you're probably thinking of a conventional gym that has open floor space and mats... no. Planet fitness has over 30 machines dedicated solely to abs. It's how they get the soccer moms to get rid of all their belly fat - or to sign up and never cancel the membership

    >tfw local gym is $10/mo as well so I don't have to go to PF
I was considering it for a minute though, figured nobody would beat their prices.

I know its a meme but its the cheapest option where I am, and its 24/7 and close
The only things i dont like about it are the people (zoomers wearing chains and nikes walking around in packs mostly), it can get crowded, and the fact that they only have smith machines for chest presses and squats.
They have free weights but not enough, there is only one set of 25lbs and I find it to be the most versatile weight for me and its always in use by someone with 10 other weights gathered around them in some sort of horrible IST summoning ritual.
These people are also the types to be there for 2+ hours so good luck getting anything from them
also the amount of couples doing stuff together. This isnt bad in and of itself, but when when you see some girl using the leg press at some large weight locking her knees out EVERY rep, her skinny bf standing right next to her, instructing her as if he knows what hes doing, it gets really difficult to not say something. These people are going to injure themselves.
Dont even get me started on the amount of people doing squats on the smith machines who seem to be deliberately trying to break their backs
Still worth the money tho if you can get there when its not crowded.

    Yes

It’s cheap and the closest gym to where I live

There’s almost never any crowds it’s very easy to do my routine in peace. A lot of decent looking girls for the Test boost too. Literally nothing wrong with it

    >I pay the $20 monthly for black card
    >the workplace gym is 1/2 a block from my job
    >the one near my house is a 10 minute drive
    >almost no crowds
    >almost everyday, guaranteed cardio bunnies

Can’t complain. I’m not an Olympic tier lifter. Just trying to lose weight

One opened nearby recently. I was thinking of giving it a try, lifting and grunting increasingly louder until my lunk alarm frequency goes from once every few days to several times a day and they ban me.

Nothing beats buying your own weights and making a home gym

I went to one in between undergrad and grad school. It's easy to do pullups, dips, and dumbell flies/smith machine squats there. They are common enough that you can find one within walking/biking distance which is nice.
I recall when I left, the cashier asked me for a reason to type down, so I told her with a straight face, I got a girlfriend who has a fetish for fat guys.

I used to travel around working as an electrician. I lived in a trailer and they had showers and was cheap.
