    Tall guys have more leverage. But it takes a lot more work to put on muscle. Tall guys can become a lot stronger.

    newbies claim that manlets have a mechanical advantage due to shorter ROM (like bench press due to shorter arms) and that only manlets can do gymnastics (iron cross) but fail to remember that bigger muscle = stronger muscle, hence why the strongest men alive are all 6'3+.

      Eddie Hall / Julius Maddox who are probably the strongest static pressers of recent years and are both around 6'1" (they claim 2" more due to typical e-stats). Sarychev who has the 2nd strongest bench is a 6'5" barefoot guy. Strongmen are usually a bit taller because it's an advantage in e.g. Stones and Truck pulls, but the same really tall dudes will have shitty bench press (e.g. look at Thor/Shaws bench which is in the low 200s), and even these guys aren't more than 6'8". There's reasons we don't see 7 footers break strength records

        kirill was always pretty lean and his record attempt was easy enough that he wasn't at his oeak potential. wonder what he would have pressed if he went full hall mode and benched at a 500lbs bodyweight

    Shorter rom / better levers will always favour shorter people. The reason why some WR holders are above average height is that they are essentially scaled up short people with the help of a lot of roids
    Btw, the buff guy on the right has 30"+ quads and his back squat 1rm is 80kg, long femurs make him do more than twice the work of an average height guy

        Bench is held by a 6'1" fatass
        The only thing you can give is the deadlift (suit+straps) which is held by 6'8" Hafthor, but iirc the raw deadlift is also held by an average height guy. And wasn't there also some 5'11" polish powershitter that >sumo pulled 505kg?

          6'1 isn't "average".

          There can be no doubt that taller people who have managed to recruit muscles into their frame have the best chances.

          However that's a big IF. The average lanklet has not grown up doing strength training and continued at it and it's going to be vastly harder for a lanklet who starts lifting late to try to look good and lift with lifts requiring good leverage than a manlet. If you're tall it can go either way.

            6'1 is above average even in the tallest countries like the netherlands. in the US and southern EU it's legit tall, with all the manlets running around

            It's just above average, which seems to be the best range for static strength
            My point is we're not seeing truly tall people, i.e. basketball center tier 6'10"+ guys, putting up any meaningful strength numbers with their increased ROM. It's probably mainly because there is barely a chance a guy that height will have the frame to back it up. The strongest guys have wide frames and then on top of it a bit above average height which allows to pack on more muscle mass

    Shorter people are better at looking jacked.

    Taller people are better at being strong. (takes a lot of food, time and training though)

    You can get shredded by doing bodyweight pullups/dips as a manlet.
    Natty tallgays look disproportionate with skelly arms and big torses

    It's all about proportions anyway. I'm a manlet with short arms so I'm good at pressing and pull ups / chin ups, but I have long as frick legs for my height. It's taken me two whole years to squat 140kg x 10, whereas I can ohp my bodyweight for reps. There are girls who post on tiktok and shit who can squat 3 plates x 10 after like a year of training

    Manlets have it better short term, lanklets have it better long term.
