        >worrying about processed goyslop
just figure out what your body can handle and feel it out from there. this shit is only a problem if you let it blackpill you

          Anonymous

even if you can handle everything, the calories are still hidden. the mongols didn't have to worry about their hearty piece of steak being deep fried nor did they have to worry about their milk being doused in sugar

That's the secret. You cut out UPFs, then you figure out how much food you need based on that. The closer the food resembles a vegetable, fruit, meat or dairy (i.e. real food), the more you can learn to rely on it as the base of your diet. From there, it's just about intrinsically knowing that a plate of vegetables is v low in calories compared to a stick of butter, and portioning out your food accordingly when cooking.

You don't need to think about calories anywhere near as much if your food resembles what it is, and the last time I checked, nobody was injecting high fructose corn syrup into raw carrots.

So that's why people say to not drink the calories.
Liquids and powders go down very quickly, get digested quickly, raise insulin quickly and cause hunger to come back quickly.
If hunger comes back quickly, that means that if body doesn't get more calories, it will start slowing down non-critical stuff - the mice probably moved less, thought less and so on.
It works on scheme of CICO by lowering the CO, causing fat storage.

Yes, I lost 50 pounds by calorie counting and I’ve been doing it for years since then. It allows me bulk and cut. If I don’t count calories I won’t eat enough when bulking, I naturally have a low appetite.

There are blacked tier BWC-asian videos out there now, but you have to search for them in private content. They won't ever show it to you on the front page, which is spammed with bbc. What did the israelites mean by this?

I don't even understand how calorie counting works.
So I eat a piece of chicken and am supposed to "count it"? Fricking how?
I've been told to use an app, but the apps just let me log that I ate chicken? How the frick does it know the actual volume of anything in the chicken I ate?
How am I supposed to know for that matter? Chicken pieces can vary in size greatly even if you buy from the same supplier consistently. Do you expect me to buy a scale and weigh everything I eat like some third world bazaar salesman?
Or if I want to eat a carrot, am i supposed to measure the fricking carrot's length and circumference?
    What the frick?

You have to be mentally ill to partake in this nonsense.

Buy one of those small kitchen scales and weigh everything

        Anonymous

Weigh everything. Read packaging. A lot of guess work.
Even if you do everything perfectly you'll still have a 20% margin of error. You'll overestimate certain foods and underestimate others, so it kinda averages out.
Weigh yourself consistently to figure out if you have a habit of overshooting or undershooting (more likely) and adjust.

        >Weigh everything
Sounds like actual schizo behavior, I'll just continue to not do that instead. Thanks.

Mind blowing that there's people on IST that don't actually count calories.

Sometimes I think that IST is the fattest board on IST and they follow meme fad diets just because they arent discipline enough to avoid gorging themselves on massivr amounts of food

I used to, but now I know enough to make good estimates without actually counting

I think everyone should do it at some point, especially those who are struggling to get actually lean and lose that extra bit of fat, or those who have never had abs before and want them

You don't realize how much you're eating (or for some skellies struggling to gain weight, how little you're eating) until you actually track this. A spoon of fricking olive oil has like 100 calories. A single can of coke has over 100. Even a tortilla, over 100. Chips have a ton

So yeah, if you're always finding yourself too skinny or too fat, or you're finding it really had to get abs, you should count calories for a few months. You'll learn a lot and you literally can't frick up on your goal as long as you honestly log every calorie
