Do you count your reps when doing 1000 reps?

Do you count your reps when doing 1000 reps? Or do you just roughly estimate around 1000 reps by not counting and doing timed sets?

Non-athletes need not apply. This training method is for fighters and real athletes.

Cardio then. Use time to measure progress during cardio sessions

It's not just cardio. It's strength and conditioning.

            "strength and conditioning"
Pick one b***h. Strength training consists of sets of sub 5 reps and conditioning is HIIT, not some random bag punching.

this. Count how many reps you make in 30/60 seconds so you'll know roughly how much time it should take you to do 1000 reps. Unless you are deeply autistic it shouldn't matter wether you do 980 or 1023

            Exactly

Is this thread bait? It all feels like OP is either moronic or complete bait.

    I count in multiples of 25, 50, or 100
So if I'm trying to do 5000 reps on a jump rope, I have to at least hit 100 or the "set" is wasted and doesn't count to my progress.
When I was locked up doing burpees every day, I would do sets of 25 until I hit 1000.
