    I only do cardio when cutting and usually do it fasted in the morning and then lift in the evening.

          What actually happens is that your body start catabolising its own muscles. Fat consumption happens at rest when the body has increased metabolism from the exercice you did recently, not during the effort.

        I also usually use yohimbine when cutting which works a lot better when fasted.

    Watch RP Dr. Mike's video on it. Basically boils down to what your goals are. The one that is more important for your goals should be done first. Ideally you would keep them far away from each other though.

    swim 30-45min immediately after you lift

    hike up a mountain Tu, Fri. squats suck. or lift legs then do StairMaster

    I work a physical job so I never actually bother with steady state cardio. Once a week I'll bring out my sled and drag it around for 15mins or so after I lift though.

    I run every morning, train in the evening. Running in the morning is a game changer for energy and productivity throughout the day. That's only reason I do cardio.
