Do you even lift?

This is the MotoMaster Eliminator Heavy-Duty Long Reach Low Profile Garage Jack, 3-Ton.

It is capable of of lifting a 3 ton vehicle between 3-1/4" to 24" (8.3 to 61 cm).

This is my car jack. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My car jack is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

Without me, my car jack is useless. Without my car jack, I am useless. I must lift my car jack true.

My car jack and I know that what counts in war is not the cars we lift, the noise of our exhaust, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the speed that counts.

I will keep my car jack clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other.

Before God, I swear this creed. My car jack and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but peace!

Are the foot pedals really worth it?
I saw it but I thought it was a gimmick

My first car jack took like 50 hand pumps to raise 13 inches, still mad thinking about it man what was I thinking.

Frick yeah they, especially when you wrench a lot

With the Bahco I'm able to fully lift a mid-size crossover high enough so that both wheels clear the ground on one side, using only the footpedal, so they aren't exactly weak - and its so much faster

    Those "low profile" jacks

    are stupid

    and you should feel stupid

    for buying one

    because unless you're jacking

    your car by the sils

    which you shouldn't be

    the low profile section won't

    be long enough to actually

    be useful

Do you think that rear jump is somehow lower on that "regular profile" floor jack, thereby allowing it to fit under a Boxster while a low profile long reach can't?

                WILL NOT BE LONG ENOUGH
                TO REACH THE JACKING POINT

On what fricking planet? Most people getting low profile jacks are getting them for low cars that have jack points close to the exterior, not to mention these guys have long reach jacks that make that even less of an issue while also allowing them to jack up their cars even higher than a regular jack
If you somehow still can't reach the jack points that way you're doing something wrong

On the planet of people who actually have first hand experience working on cars.
The vast majority of cars have the jacking points under the subframe which is usually smack bang in the middle of the front and rear axles. The vast majority of cars have plastic bumpers which protrude far enough that no regular sized trolley jack will be able to reach those jacking points without sliding COMPLETELY under the car.

The only use I can imagine for those bendy "low profile" jacks is maybe they could reach the frame of a lowered body-on-frame car.

                >normal car
We're talking about sports cars, often lowered. And you still haven't addressed the point that the long reach variants lift higher

Normal sports cars constructed normally (I.E not spaceframe tube chassis contraptions) almost always have jacking points under the sils and under the subframes.

And can be low enough that a regular jack won't fit under them
I see that you're still not addressing the extra lifting height, guess you've already accepted that you've lost that argument and just want to get the last word in at this point

The bendy bit won't help you fit under.
We're not talking about long vs short jacks anon, that's a different discussion, it is entirely possible to have a long jack without the bendy "low profile" bit.

Yet all long reaches are low profile, curious
Why are you so mad over a bendy bit? They often are lower and as previously stated more clearance is always a good thing
Can end up needing to jack up at awkward angles and not have to deal with extra pointless metal in the way. Obviously you'd know this if you actually wrenched (you don't)

I'll admit I need to drive onto little blocks of wood for the low profile jack to reach past the engine/transmission on my car, even though it's just a normal ecobox sedan. If it was a normal jack though, I would have to drive up onto ramps instead.
