Milk. Tastes a million time better and you get an extra 9g of protein. If you mix it with water you´re really NGMI

Here in Europe many farmers sell directly their milk without supermarkets involved, I guess you could go ask farmers if they could sell you some milk, if this happens you must boil the milk for 30 mins or so.

yuro here, I used to think that e colli was a total meme, because modern industry has high standarts. I get my raw milk from a vending machine at a near farm, it's cheap and delicious.
One day the milk smelled weird, but I've drank it anyway and got poisoned. It was very mild and I just slept it off, but since then Im much more careful. E Colli is no joke.

Been drinking milk from the farmers for few years already, and never got poisoned from it but I actually saved a lot of money since It's a lot cheaper.

Water because post workout I want my body to digest the protein as fast as possible. Any other shit just makes your body take longer to digest. If you're making some huge calorie shake with whey, you're defeating the purpose.

the quicker you digest it, the more of a blood sugar spike you're going to get and the more likely the protein is just going to be used for energy, especially when consumed alone.

I also eat a ripe banana right before downing the shake. The banana will be digested quickly for the energy.

        https://nutritionandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1743-7075-9-48

Compared with white wheat bread meal, whey causes an increase of postprandial insulin, plasma amino acids, GIP and GLP-1 responses.

        https://diabetesjournals.org/diabetes/article/51/suppl_3/S434/13124/The-Multiple-Actions-of-GLP-1-on-the-Process-of

It is now well accepted that nutrients, principally sugars and fats, liberate GLP-1 and GLP-1-releasing factors, including glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide

Consuming highly bioavailable and digestible whey protein activates systems in the body that deal with the metabolism of fats and sugars. While you will get large increases in plasma amino acids, the fact that it's all digested so quickly means that your body will readily use it as energy instead of fueling MPS. Some of it will acutely go to MPS, but because it's digested quickly, a large portion of it will be converted to energy. This is why slower digesting proteins like eggs and casein are seen so favorably in protein studies and muscle growth.

Have it with water, leave it in fridge before leaving the house so it's cool when I return.
