Just decrease the weight above water for the same effect.

When I do bench or squat I tie a short rope to the bar with a kettlebell toes to the other end of the rope. That way it pulls down on the bar as I lift and the plates I’m lifting on the bar gets heavier

wtf that's actually genius, it takes away the need to do progressive overload to increase your gains

        >it takes away the need to do progressive overload to increase your gains
        No it doesn't
It's basically the same as using chains or resistance bands. You still need to progressively increase intensity/volume

          >takes away the eccentric and loses most of the gains

In your defense you're probably bots.

you can keep lifting like 1 plate and still progress with your lifts without increasing the load, you just have to use heavier kettlebells

That increases the load. But only the concentric portion. Good for peaking lifts but bye bye gains.

Did my post not go through?

I want to find a river/stream and climb along the bottom using the rocks going against the current. I feel like it would be a good combo of cardio/strength

Sometimes I think about tying weights to my arms and legs and jumping into the water.
