I've been lifting about 15 months now. I'm not big or particularly strong, but I benched 100. Since I did I've seen people who look bigger than me fail on 100 and also people doing like 70 for reps who have much bigger arms than me. My top 3 chest/tris are bench, dips, pec deck
if bench is doing nothing you probably aren't doing it right.
Your RoM, how wide your arm spacing is relative as well the rotation of your arms are all important to pushing the weight.
the easiest way to figure this out is to put one hand over the others pectoral and than drive the hand to see how engaged the pectoral is during the movement. You want to get as much of the muscle group engaging as possible and once you find the center you do the other arm. At this point you take that stance and apply it to bench.
dumbbell bench is unironically superior if performed in a pristine form, the pectoral activation is insane
but, it gets progressively more difficult to balance the weight as you increase the weight hence why the majority of homosexuals are unwittingly targeting the front delts when doing it
Bench isnt useless but its true dips are better if you arent a genelet
Dips are too easy to cheat on.
True, Real chads do one handed pushups. Going to gym is a meme. Body weight is all you need haha
One handed pushups are a beginner exercise. Unless you meant one handed planche pushups?
1 handed squats
real chads do one-handed dips
What about legs?
>Real chads
>Legs
Yeah it's called a light jog, Anon.
If calisthenics only, pistol squats
If weighted calisthenics, bulgarian split squats
Could also add some bodyweight isolations like hamstring curls
I'm a dip only myself but i'd disagree that it does nothing
I can’t believe you cumshitters still don’t know how to bench properly. Well, actually, yeah it makes sense actually. morono.
t. benchlet
Dumbest thread I've seen on this board in months, and we have guys who unironically want to frick fat women on here
That's just the African American anons.
Picrel mogs bench and dips
so post the chest or stay silent
I switched over to dips a couple of years ago and now my chest has popped open, when people ask me how much I bench I just say nothing this is genetic

TLDR; dumbbell bench is better

I do dumbell bench press.
>not doing both
Ngmi
This, plus the occasional dumbbell press if I can't be bothered to wait for the bench rack.
