Checked and it’s a little much. Especially the tanning. I just started dermarolling and it doesn’t seem to do anything. Not sure if I’m supposed to make my face bleed for results.

What size dermaroller are you using and what are your goals? Your face isn't supposed to bleed, but it should feel flush after using because of the blood rushing to your skin,.

So far for me it works very well for hairgrowth. Works okay for scars and stretch marks, not so much for wrinkles. Maybe Im just not using the right products but the ones people shill are extremely expensive.

      >dermarolling
Do you do it for skin quality or for hair?
Because for hair I can tell you from experience that it works. I started derma + minox a few weeks ago and my facial hair improved a lot, head hair is also slowly coming along.
AFAIK you should use oils with derma rolling, some people see a lot of skin/hair quality gains from using nourishing oils with derma rolling, don't know the specifics though.

Dermarolling is awesome bro. I use it on my face, particularly focusing on the two lines either side of the mouth. I smoke so these lines tend to be pronounced but after like 5 years of dermarolling on my face like 3-4 times a month, they're all but invisible. I buy a new one off Amazon every month.

Sunscreens don't protect from blue light from screens. Blue light from modern screens is also fairly damn negligible, you probably do more damage to your skin putting the sunscreen on with all those chemicals in it than you get protection.

only with prolonged exposure under harsh sun. If it's early morning sun or 4-5pm sun it wont do any damage because the UV index are really low.

depends on your level of melanin enrichment, first thing to go is usually your nose.
the nose being any shade of red or a darker shade is a sign that your current level of exposure is enough to cause UV damage.
that takes only a few minutes of direct sunlight for most light skinned people.
also, the 4-5pm UV being low is a meme, look at the actual UV index maps for your area moron.

all that matters is ph and blood flow and your body will take care of itself. if you have an overgrowth of something you can use something like mct oil to help moisturize and limit bad bacteria/fungi growth. you can rinse your skin with diluted apple cider vinegar to get the ph to a healthy level

  10. 2 years ago

yes it works, just an expensive means to the same results with less products, there's even a copypasta about using bateman's routine.
most of the morons here are aging like shit and don't understand why you wear sunscreen even when your sun exposure is only brief or through windows.
simply moisturizing the skin (full body, especially after hot showers) and minimizing UV damage to the lowest level possible is enough, but you can go further than that if you want absolutely perfect skin

      Anonymous

so for casual outgoing or even brief exposure to the sun, what sunscreen do I get? I dont wanna just use lotions, are sprays good enough? and arent sunscreens a little too excessive if used near daily outside of beaches due to chemicals?

        Anonymous

30 SPF at a minimum, ideally 50 SPF or more.
if it's just for everyday, then you only really need to apply sunscreen to your face, ears, and upper neck if exposed, use anything from Cetaphil as their products generally don't have shit in them, the sheer mineral formulation is very smooth to apply and doesn't leave a residue (zinc and titanium mixtures in general are best, use a different formulation if applying elsewhere with the same ingredients).

          Anonymous

When do I apply it though? Before or after moisturizing? If I apply it after, my skin is still moist from the moisturizer obviously.

            Anonymous

depends on if you shave or not.
if you shave then it's best to apply just moisturizer immediately when you get out of the shower, wait a few minutes, do your shaving routine, then wash your face off and immediately start your skincare routine, again wait a few minutes, then finally apply the sunscreen
you should apply small amounts of moisturizer until the skin is supple, may need to use a different one than you're using already depending on how oily your skin is naturally, as past a few minutes there should be no 'wetness' to your face if you're using a proper amount.
hydrating jellies are your friend if you want a very quick skincare routine.

You seem knowledgeable, how do I incorporate Minoxidil for beard gains into my routine? I know that this is probably not good for the skin, but I want to grow a better beard and there aren't really any alternatives out there. It's only for a limited time too. I still want to maintain a skincare routine to mitigate as much damage as possible. So, how do I do the Minox in combination with the rest of the products? I'm thinking I should probably apply the Minoxidil after moisturizing and then shaving, then wait a little for it to dry, then continue. Is that correct or should I do something else?

                Anonymous

minoxidil is ideally applied at night, you'll want to use the foam as the serum will drip and cause hair growth elsewhere.
apply directly to the skin only, not much is required and wash your hands carefully afterwards as foam tends to get stuck in cuticles.
technically it's readily absorbed and the majority of the minoxidil should be gone in about a minute from application, but it really depends on how much you're applying, too much and there will still be plenty of minoxidil caking out and potentially washing over your entire face if you're going to be applying moisturizer over the same area afterwards or rubbing off onto your pillow case and getting elsewhere, unless you're going to wash your face a few minutes after applying the minoxidil, being careful not to wash the rest of your body with it.
tl;dr apply minoxidil at night, can do in the morning also if you want faster results, but a lot harder to manage. wash your pillow case daily always if using minoxidil.
also there are alternatives to minoxidil, but since it's your face instead of your scalp, i'd hardly recommend using rosemary or peppermint oil in a carrier oil for a similar effect as the cooling sensation will instead feel like an intense burning sensation due to the increased sensitivity and easily spreads via cloth contact versus somewhere like your scalp that's a lot easier to control what it touches.

top kek, try using a lot less and rubbing it in more evenly instead of in one spot, if it's still readily apparent on your skin then you'll likely have to use a lower SPF if you're sticking with titanium/zinc

The context of his use of skincare is related to the film itself. He applies a lot of highly technical, high cost lotions and procedures to look better than his peers, in the pursuit of elitism. What he learns throughout the movie, and what you can observe from his behaviour, is that it is all pointless and does nothing, much like his own life. The exception is in the delusion, which is revealed in the final act.

No. It's a joke and just a litany of bullshit products. In the book this part is a lot longer and more over the top and you see how obviously it is facetious. Think about it for a second: why would he put moisturizer on his face immediately before stepping into the shower? It would wash right off; you should moisturize after applying aftershave, which can be alcohol-based and won't dry out your face if you apply moisturizing lotion right after. Also you should definitely not exfoliate every day. If you're shaving your face daily it's debatable whether you need to do anything else to exfoliate period.
